  • Hi Remo Fernandes,

Thanks for your earlier reply to me.

O.k now! there is one more cool song on Bombay City. I don't know whether others here listening to your this cool music are aware of this song or not. But I hope you must be knowing about this song on Bombay. Let me see as a singer can you recollect as to which song am I referring too :-)))) Its also a VERY VERY COOL SONG!!!

  • @prem73 I don't know which song you're talking about, Prem - but my all-time favourite song about Mumbai is "Bombay Meri Hai" by Mina Kava.

  • @RemoFernandes

    Hi Remo Fernandes,

I am referring to the song "Train to Bombay" by The Gibson Brothers which was earlier than to your song. I don't know how many listeners / viewers are aware about this song. Even though it is a love song but this is one of the Coolest, Oldest, Nicest English Song on Bombay City apart your song Bombay City.

  • @prem73 Thanks, Prem! I must check out the song you're talking about. Sorry I took so long to answer your post! Take care.

  • can you upload the graham bell song..pls

  • can you upoad the graham bell song ???

  • Dear Remo, this took me more than 20 years ago when I had bought the tape with this and other numbers. While it was great listening to this I think you should also make the original one available.

  • Good Onr Remo. We are pleased and happy. Have a nice day

  • I think Remo's Old is Gold is a classic. The Concani songs like Panch Vorsam is a great song and so the rendition of the timeless 'Adeus'.

On an other note the Damao song Maria Pitache I think should be sung as Maria Bota Cheiro (Probably means Maria is smelling nice).

  • Nice song even though bombay is not what it is today. I appreciate u as u really left a footprint as a ex salesian alunni and may the good lord shower his blessings on u n u're family Viva Goa

  • Bombay city - the whole album -absolute beauty.I last heard those songs in 1990 when my room mate borrowed from one friend..and I cherish those moments. PLZ REMO RELAUNCH THIS ALBUM PLZ PLZ PLZ THE ORIGINAL ONE.

  • I will relaunch the original album one day, but its quite a time-consuming job digitizing it etc. Meanwhile, do enjoy whatever I'm giving out here for free, please, if it pleases you... thank you for your good words!

  • hi remo i remmember you ,for a concert in belgaum and then meet you inmy home town of damao daman, you are one of the only catholic singers in india, you are the best.

    viva damao

  • I don't see singers by their religions, Silvestre. I'm a singer, I'm a Goan, I'm an Indian, and I'm a human being of this planet Earth - as we all are! All the best to you always! And Viva Damao!

  • Oh! yes, I remember this song !!! when I was in Bombay. Yes, this brings back memories!!

  • ANIRUDH and TAJAS, thank you! Glad this took you down memory lane...

  • Awesome! Thanks a lot for this one, Remo! I'd last heard this album 16 years ago when I was a kid and Mumbai was still called Bombay..

  • its been long time i heard a konkani song of yours

  • And why should you hear Konkani songs from me, Reuben? I've never been known as a Konkani artist, have I? There are those who are doing a wonderful job!

  • It would be very nice if you could upload the lyrics of this song under the more info section of the page.

  • Are the lyrics so difficult to understand, Prem? I try to sing them very clearly always... But I'll think of adding lyrics in future. Thanks for your suggestion.

  • Actually I've looked for the 'More Info' page but didn't find it. Could you enlighten me please? I haven't used YouTube all that much! Thanks.

  • It would be nice if the lyrics were available. Your this very nice song is in English, a little bit of Hindi and a bit of Marathi too. So sometimes I do really find it hard to get the lyrics properly because of the heavy background music.

To edit, its so easy to add comments and information under the more info section. Just login to your account, open this song page and on the right side you can find a tag called Edit Video click that and you can edit all the contents out there.

  • Actually, I don't like this version, the older one was much better. Giving in to market demands maybe?

  • Poor Patpatize or whatever your real name is, if you only knew the meaning of the words 'market demand'! I've re-recorded this song because the original had several limitations in recording: it was recorded on 4 tracks only. 'Market demand'? I'm giving you this song for FREE here... you think you're making me rich???!!! Or are you a Hindi hater who thinks that singing in Hindi is 'commercial'? In that case you're anti-national! Just take it or leave it, man! No one's forcing you!

  • @SAWAN: Guess the city inspired us both, huh Sawan? Love your video too!

@MPNCHAR: No, unfortunately! But I'm going to post the audio on my website for FREE download soon. And the old video too, if I trace it - or else I'll shoot a new one one of these eons...

  • Hey I just found this!!!! How utterly cool !!! :D WOW!!

  • Hey...Remo..Is that really you!!! I'm looking out for the CD/DVD of this album.. Any idea where can I find in (ideally Singapore) or even Delhi / Mumbai..I'll tell my friends to buy over

  • is that really you, replying on messeges???

  • :-) Sure its me, Arianeric! Why shouldn't it be?

  • Hi all, thank you so very much for your lovely messages! I'm sorry I haven't been very regular on YouTube, but I intend being so from now on. Love and light to you - Remo.

  • your thoughts were beyond your time, remo.

  • @veetraagG Thanks a lot, Veetraag! I can see you understand about programming - I'm sure you're a musician too? Yes, I'm recording a new album at the moment. Will release it on iTunes etc in the beginning of 2011 if all goes well. Take care!

  • wicked !!

  • hi remo.... i would like some of your old songs here.... like ocean queen, pack that smack, the old bombay city, India etc etc..... you probably don't remember, but in 1996 when you played in Pune in camp, I was the 21-year-old rookie journo who interviewed you and was absolutely awed out. you asked me if I 'wasn't too young to be a journalist'...i didn't have an answer to that. i asked you what your favourite song was and you said: "The next one."

    LOL :) Keep rockin

  • can someone post the old one please !!!! It'll bring back memories :)

  • Awesome..!!

  • Hey Remo,

I still like the old version no doubt the music in this remix is good but the old number is still the best. Used to watch that number DD.

  • @1970wills

I do agree, old version was good !

  • @prem73 Yes, the older one appeals to those who prefer nostalgic value. Or perhaps to those who prefer all-English lyrics. But after a few listens, others will realize that this one is much richer musically as well as rhythmically. Anyway, whichever one's your favorite, I'm happy! Thanks a lot! :-)

  • @1970wills Yes, I agree...I had the old version on tape...

  • Thanks Remo. Loved the new version of Bombay City, when are you releasing the video on the music channels??

  • It's really surprising to know that you're on YouTube too.

Wish you had more videos uploaded to your YouTube Channel. :)

  • Hello People, this is not really a music video... its just a sharing of this song with you. Hope you enjoy it - Remo.

  • It is lovely to listen to Bombay City. Thanks.
