Weighting down in her shoulder blades will help her sit more upright and benefit the horse's movement, by allowing the horse's back to move even more freely. As said above, if she thought of a "string" pulling her sternum upright, her position would be in the correct position. Otherwise, wonderful horse and rider. Us riders must constantly work on our positions, so we can continue to focus on the horse's well being. :)
Yeah great on a stallion that naturally has an extravagant trot... but most people watching this video want to know how to acheive it on a horse/pony that a) isn't a stallion b) didn't cost them £10,000+
Most of us watching these videos have to work a lot harder to get our horses/ponies working...
If I could ride half as well, I'd be happy! Having said that I agree, her driving seat pushes him out of the rhythm so the swing phases are different at times. A lot of dressage riders go behind the verticle - why is this? Stunning horse, though.
I think if Anne stayed more vertical in the extended work she would avoid some of the tension in the horse...she is well behind the vertical in her position and her seat is driving into the horse's back. That said, he's being a good guy about it and staying with her. In the rising trot at the end she's back in the ideal position!
@louinwy1 Whenever I'm working on a younger horse, I always exaggerate all of my movements. Especially in my seat. In my opinion, it's really important for dressage to control the horse from the rear to optimise control and so they aren't so much leaning on the bit. This is just my opinion and all and I'm not a fantastic rider.. or overally experienced with high end horses, but I feel when I control a horse from the front end, it's not really working with the horse. More so fighting it.
I see a fast working trot and an extended tort that's almost running.

@louinwy1 Yes.. but it IS pretty hard to stay in that vertical position in extended trot..

Many of us know what a good extension is supposed to look like, but this videio would be much more useful if the aids were explained.

Very nice to see such a nice horse being ridden on or slightly in front of the vertical for a change. Excellent!
