Really nice video. Although I love knitting by hand, this makes a project more versatile and comfortable. Really, I'm looking for speed, since I do not knit that fast. Thanks so much.
I've been trying to knit with the regular needles, but its harder then it looks. A family friend said to use a loom, instead of the needles. By the looks of it, using the loom is much easier. I would love to know how to knit other stitches.. when you buy the loom in the store. Does it come with a book full of stitches?
you sound like a little girl your trying to teach me how to do this and you do it perfectly lol im like how can this little girl teach me but your really good at it good job
I love the colors. What colors are you using and what yarn? I went to Joan's yesterday and I got the set with the rectangle looms. I am going to make a scarf and I also want to do an afghan.:)
My stitching has somehow become reversed. The pattern follows for the length of the scarf, but now a portion has the back on the front and the front on the back. I can't seem to figure out how I did this. Any ideas on how to avoid it in the future?
@Runescapez0r3r I've seen them in our local Walmart, but also at Hobby Lobby (if you live where there is a Hobby Lobby).
I have one that I found in a thrift shop. It's homemade; someone carved out the base from a piece of wood and then hammered wires into it. It's kind of neat.
Thank you SO much for posting these! I was getting SO frustrated because I couldn't figure out how to use the loom and my boyfriend found your tutorials and now i'm addicted to making scarves! I noticed you don't do videos anymore. :( I was wondering if there was a way to add beads and embellishments to scarves.
I just bought this loom because it said I can make blankets also with it . but I dont see the instructions for anything except the sarf. any idea how I can get the instructions for the blanket?
hi ! from where did u buy it that loom can u please tell me a store online for that loom coz here in romania i dont found it :(i wait yor answer :* your channel its great i love it :*:*:*
Perfect video. Yes, I can see these instructions very clearly. I especially appreciate that you use the white and red colored yarns. Then, I can see even better. To see .. exactly .. how to do this. Thank you very much for making this video. Because it really has inspired me to keep trying. : )
I have the SAME EXACT loom as you do and i tried using it exactly how you show in your video with two different yarns and everything but it keeps coming out so loose. I don't understand why :(
awsome u just got a round one and i cant put it down ive been making hats i really want to make other things like blankets and what else is there that can be doner?
Hello, I think you are a Great Teacher. I have watched many videos today on loom knitting and I think you gave the best hints on how to loom knit. You should be proud of yourself and continue Loom Knitting posting lessons.
Is there a certain type of yarn I should use as in weight like crocheting,or does that depend on what I am making.also how do I get started I have never loomed before.
Thank you so much Joccy! I just recently received a loom for my birthday and typed in how to knit on a loom, and ur vid came up....I pick up my loom and my two color yarns and started making me a scarf just with ur help of this video. Very clear! Thanks alot!
Thank you for this video. My mom got me one for xmas and I haven't touched it yet because I was sort of intimidated by the instructions. Your video though, totally explains what to do and now I'm excited to use my new loom. =]
Wow that's cool I just learn how to knit and this looks Fun!!! How much do the looms cost? And could ne one make an afghan out of the rectangular looms? More so like a throw afghan. Good job keep it going!!! Do u crochet? If not ok.
Your video was VERY helpful in getting me started, thank you so much for taking the time to make it and post it. Today I've already made a gorgeous scarf I plan to give at Christmas. :-)
thanks so much for the helpful video. just like all the other comments i wanted to knit a scarf and i'm all set and went out and bought the loom knitting set. These videos you made helped alot and watched them over and over until i got it right. Keep up the good work with making videos and happy knitting!
your amazing, I stumbled on your vid and went out to buy a knifty knitter, and watched your vids over and over till i got it... Thanks you're AWESOME!!
wow! thank you so much! i bought these looms and could not follow their written instructions at all...your directions and demonstration were so clear and easy to follow that I can't wait to get started! please keep posting!
Thank you Joccy! I just started using the long looms and when I get confused as to which side of the peg to wind around, I just remember that you said go to the right of the peg when you are heading to the right. :)
Thank YOU for this informative tutorial!! Up till now I have only been able to use the Circular one. I have the Rectangular ones, and they have been sitting on my shelf for ages. I kept reading the books, but had no clue as to how to use them. Thanks for posting this for us to watch. I really appreciate it! I can't wait to get started!!!!!
Great tutorial. Your explanations are very clear and easy to follow. I am using this same loom right now for a scarf and it's turning out well. Thanks so much.
I love your tutorials. You really explain what you are doing well, and it is very clearly demonstrated. I've knitted with knitting needles but after watching your video, I purchased a loom similar to the one you have, and enjoy knitting much more this way. Thank you Joccy, and keep up the good work!

I've never done the double knit stitch, only the e-wrap. Can I use one strand of 5 bulk (Lion Brand Homespun) unstead of multiple strands and still have a tight knit scarf as yours is? I'm new to knitting. Thanks.
I'm still learning the double knit stitch so I can make xmas gifts for my family. Can I use 1 strand of 5 bulk yarn instead of 2, 3 bulk or 4 bulk? I want it to look a little tight and not so loose as it was when I tried 2 strands of 3 bulk yarn.
I went to Wal Mart...bought a loom and two kinds of yarn... U have a scarf about 1/16 of the way finished... Your video is what made me brave enough!!...Thank you so much!!

hey i just got the same one like yours ! But when i got it i thought it was a different color and it is the same color !!!!! Thanks for the video it helped me a lot !!!!!!!
Wonderful video, you are awesome!!! Thanks for the great job and informative video. I would love to see the casting off, and finished product. Where can I find that video?? Good luck, and again Way To Go, Girl....
Very nice instructions! I found a rake loom and wondered how to use it and you made it clear. I'm going to try this with my elderly aunt. She loves handcrafts, and wishes she had learned to knit. I think we can both handle this.
do u have a video on how to make the same design but just less thicker i like the video very much but wanted to know if it could be done the same just half the thickness
uh helloo next time look at all her vids b4 u comment or criticize her ways of doing.....Joccy101 u did a realllyy good job, i already made 4 scarfs :D
Would you be able to show me how to change colors? I want to make a scarf the same way you have, but starting with white and then pink and then red. Thank you!
You did a GREAT Job, nice clear video, great angle, thanks! We just got the little, tiny round loom yesterday. It's GREAT. I taught myself 'regular' knitting using youtube over Christmas break. These looms are way easier.
Would be nice to have 'casting off' in the same vid, but this is great. I'm off to look for more.
so I asked the salesperson where I bought my loom from (the same in this video) if I could use size 4 yarn instead of 5 and she said yes, but when i tried, it has HUGE gaping holes in it. Should I just stick to a 5?
Thank you thank you thank you. The pictures on the instrusctions are NO help at all! I would've been really frustrated if I didn't SEE how to do it. Thank you! You did a really great job!
I kinda feel like a Moron after watching that LOL. I bought this last night and could not figure it out, I tried for hours using different techniques. Thank you so much for making this so simple. I can't wait to get started now. Thank you again!
hey ...thanks for the instructions. I m knitting a baby blanket for our first baby due in 2 months. my problem is the knit is very loose and I m using single stranded wool. Please help me joccy
You could either start over and use more than one strand of yarn or you could make another blanket, same as the one you are already making, and sew them on top of each other so the blanket is thicker.
I had always wondered what these were for when I saw them at Hobby Lobby. It was fun leaning to loom from you, you weren't boring and very informative! Thanks Joccy, now I can teach my daughters. Irma
I think u can find them in wal-mart

Would you be able to show me how to change colors? I want to make a scarf the same way you have, but starting with white and then pink and then red. Thank you!
USMCsgtWifey 2 years ago
You can just cut off the yarn when you're finished with that color and tie on the next one

Is it possible that you show how to knit the different stitches you mentioned above????
mafaldareina 2 years ago
so I asked the salesperson where I bought my loom from (the same in this video) if I could use size 4 yarn instead of 5 and she said yes, but when i tried, it has HUGE gaping holes in it. Should I just stick to a 5?

Thank you thank you thank you. The pictures on the instrusctions are NO help at all! I would've been really frustrated if I didn't SEE how to do it. Thank you! You did a really great job!

Is the pattern the same on both sides, or is there a front and a back?
flashtux 2 years ago
There's a slight difference between sides

I kinda feel like a Moron after watching that LOL. I bought this last night and could not figure it out, I tried for hours using different techniques. Thank you so much for making this so simple. I can't wait to get started now. Thank you again!

hey ...thanks for the instructions. I m knitting a baby blanket for our first baby due in 2 months. my problem is the knit is very loose and I m using single stranded wool. Please help me joccy
dolly1able 2 years ago
You could either start over and use more than one strand of yarn or you could make another blanket, same as the one you are already making, and sew them on top of each other so the blanket is thicker.

I had always wondered what these were for when I saw them at Hobby Lobby. It was fun leaning to loom from you, you weren't boring and very informative! Thanks Joccy, now I can teach my daughters. Irma
