I'm a Blacksburg townie, and I saw the piano. I work at the bookstore across the walkway from Squires, and as soon as we closed up, I rushed over there, but they were packing it up. Just seeing it struck a nerve in my heart, though.
I never heard of the Imagine Piano Peach Project. Sounds like a great idea. I hope to get a chance to see it some day. Like Muslims who must travel to Mecca, some day I'll make it to Liverpool.
Woohoo! Are you in the New River Valley? I'm in Christiansburg which neighbors Blacksburg, so we were semi-directly affected by the shootings at Tech.

Wish you would have completed Open Arms. The bits you played sounded awesome. You had your chance.

I KNOW!! I hadn't played it in years. Then seeing the News cameraman froze me up. Sigh...maybe next time.

I would have been honored to touch it, but afraid I would damage it. Beautiful piano.

It was an honor, indeed. You could feel a chill upon pressing a key.
