Voivod has been my favorite band since 1986. One of the only metal bands that I ever heard that went so far beyond the horizon that it could no longer be recognized as coming from this dimension.

They taught me to really listen to music. Without them, i would not have been able to listen to ambient, techno, dnb, reggae, and other non-metal / hc / punk stuff. They opened my mind to the whole musical universe!
VoiVoid. Mystifying for many thrash Fans. From the rawness of War and Pain to the weird and original song-structures of Killing Technology and Dimension Hatröss. They defy those who force a genre upon the band. Avantgarde? Abstract? Progressive Thrash? They are simply VoiVod. And they are awesome!
