She has a very pure, lyrical soprano voice. Glinda is really supposed to be a coloratura voice though. No wonder she was good in Phantom.

@dementieva12 She's my fav Glinda next to Kristin...so I really don't think she needs to be a coloratura...and Christine isn't supposed to be one too, actually...I actually prefer the sound of most lyrical soprano's....but I don't really know the difference between the two in detail, if you could explain it to me, feel free to :D

@ethalinia Coloratura sopranos make things sound heavy....all sopranos can blast over an orchestra....but coloraturas are almost that stereotypical "Valkyrie" sound. Lyric sopranos are the type that can sing the same notes, but they sound lighter, their sound is a bit more pure and cuts through a bit more. They typically have a higher range as well. There's more information on Wikipedia about both, and I'm sure I probably made a factual error.

I absolutely adore her (from what little I've heard of her on Youtube)! These days it seems like the trend for Glindas here in the States is to have big belters who can sing a little soprano (except Megan Hilty), but I prefer sopranos who can sing ridiculously high and belt a little, like Annalene. I mean, you already have Elfie to belt their socks off! I also don't understand why Americans are bothered by the accents when they're natural. I find them adorable!

I really like her. It's set up for the understudy to sing the high note. The producers know she does that. If the understudy "popped out an F" she'd be the one getting fired, not Kendra.
