This is my everyday carry. Only difference is my 229 is a Dark Elite with a threaded barrel and I have a x300 weapon light on my gun. Love the gun. I'm not a big guy by any standards I'm 5'11" and weight 150 and I carry the setup everyday along with a kershaw knife, and an extra mag. Good choice of setup man. Nice to see another Sig CCW around.
Very nice video. Good talking points and you stayed on point. I would like to see you do a video with the P229 holstered in your Crossbreed. If you could do another video with the Crossbreed and how you conceal for EDC, that would be great. Once again...great vid.

how do you get the magazines rid of that lubricant? I dont want all my ammo being all lubed up and getting messed up and casuing FTF and what not. I just bought it and want to break it in and hoping that once I firre it all the lube in the mags will go away.
Love the gun. Would you consider yourself a big/strong guy to use this as your EDC? Do you notice the weight all the time or do you forget it is even there?
@AllfatherGuideUs Thanks for the comment. I'm 6'2" 195 lbs. But I don't think size or strength has anything to do with carrying a 40oz. gun when its loaded. 15 rounds of 180 grain Speer Gold Dots. It has everthing to do with the Crossbreed holster, and Wilderness Tactical belt. If you have the right setup it makes all the difference. I highly recommend this combination for concealed carry.
@wsrush1985 Thanks for replying. I just got a Galco Royal Guard (horsehide) IWB holster for the P229 SCT and it works pretty good. Not as heavy feeling as I would have expected. I'm also getting a leather holster made very similar to your crossbreed, with Kydex loops more spread out. Hopefully that distributes the weight even more and makes the holster even thinner and more comfortable.
My current carry sidearm is a 9mm SIG P229 Elite Dark with a 17 round SCT clip loaded with Hornady Critical defense loads. Within the coming weeks I'll be adding a .40 cal. SIG P229 SCT. LOVE the SIG's!!!
@wsrush1985 Well, it's been quite awhile in coming. I didn't procure my first personal SIG P229 till last year and this new one I'll have procured in a couple of weeks. CCDW is in progress and should be a done deal within a month. After that, lokking to continue my tactical background with training from either Lethal Force Institute or SIG Acadamy.
@losunimo88 As long as it's of the same caliber (9mm - 9mm, 40 cal. - 40 cal.), Yes. :) P228 clips will also fit P229's! :) If I remember correctly, P226 clips will NOT work with P229's though. The SIG SCT series all come with 3 SCT clips. My .40 was an SCT SIG, my 9mm was an Elite, it came with a regular clip and an SCT clip. In the 9mm version, the SCT clip is 17 rounds, in the 40 cal. version, the SCT clip is 14.
I'm getting mine p229 the next week.. can't wait. And it's funny how you mentioned you've got your info out of internet forums and other vids (nutnfancy, ..). I'm doing the same.. right now I'm gun newbie but I'm doing the best to avoid reinventing the wheel.
However you can upload more of your videos. This video is OK but it shows you have a great potential to make excellent videos.
Yea, just do your research I spent like 6 months really looking into what people think of products. I couldnt be more happy with my system. Thanks for the good comments I appreciate it!
Kudos man! Great vid!

Cool vid. Big guns are great as long as you can conceal them.

Do you still carry this everyday?

@ABorell12 I would just use any gun solvent. It should do the job.

Does it handle well for you even with winter gloves?

My Sig looks almost exactly like yours except 9mm. I put the same rubber Hogue grips on and it is SCT. Ours both looks pretty unique then lol.
