Steelseries are the worst headset i have ever purchased, I have the 4xb headset and its gone against everything you have said in this video, broke after 2 weeks and havent damaged it any way shape or form due to the connector coming loose . As a customer I am really disappointed with this product and would advise people to purchase else where as there not reliable. That is the most important thing from a gamers prospective.

2 downsides in my opinion

1. the round design. i'm not much of a rounded product person

2. the audio balancing thing. i don't want randoms to be able to shout and turn my game volume down :/

I got this headset and I'm really happy with it, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING, when there is no shooting, explosions or sound at all, when it's quiet in the game, the headset makes a buzzing sound, sort of the sound you get when you turn a speaker up to the max without anu sound output. that is REALLY annoying... do you have a solution for that? I tried adjusting every available volumecontrol... on the mixer, in the game, in the xbox etc etc, doesn't work.

@bulletXproductions YOu don't need the mixer to speak to people. The mixer is for the balancing feature. You can speak to people like normal through the headset mic.

@x6xk1LLx9x No, the 5xb and 4xb are not 5.1 or 7.1 headsets. They are high quality stereo just like the Turtle Beach X11 and X31.

Lets just be honest,

If you are a gamer, 1st person FPS games. Then this headset is a "need", I hope there will be a PS3 version someday aswell, but for now I am happy with steelseries PC headsets

Will the custom sound scape Sundance drivers interfere with a 5.1 dolby mixer?

Hey,

The headset without the mix amp has 1 plug.

We haven't noticed any interference with Dolby 5.1.

The Audio Mixer is powered by USB.

Not sure about the adjust length.

heey! i dont know if u can help me, but i have a steelseries 5h v2 headset, and i wanna connect it to my xbox 360 so i can hear both party chat and ingame sound, and also be able to use my mic! and i wanna know if i should buy this one or the steelseries xbox 360 headset connector, but it doesnt have the volym future compared to this one. well is the volum future work well? and how the *uck can this little adapter seperate the party chat sound and ingame? does it really work? appretiate answers

@inactionproduction You can purchase the audio mixer separately. The audio mixer and all of it's features, inlcuding the independent volume controls and mixer work amazingly well. It's SteelSeries magic! Hope this helps!
