Your UI is really nice, I use grid rather than XPerl, but that's because XPerl for whatever reason lags on me; so I use Grid+Clique and Ag_unitframes. I've got a vid of me healing this fight under Razorscale Movie - it's Valiant. :)

Xperl unit frames. Pretty much everyone else I know might just use xperl for the target frames and grid for unit frames. But I use xperl for both, despite what my fellow healer friends think. I like the way it lights up and I'm just too used to it to change.

Yeah, im haveing a problem with Grid atm. Im a pally healer and a druid healer, grid is messing with me. i think im going to try out healbot but idk if id like it or not. I tried it out during TBC and it kinda freaked me out. But yeah the fight is all about survivability mixed with pwn dps. my guild did it with 5 healers =3 (1 pally, 1 disc priest, 1 holy priest and 2 trees ) i reccomend a shammy healer. chain heals ftw =3

LOTSOFTREES. I think we rocked 4 trees, 1 holy priest (me), 1 disc priest, and 1 holy paladin. 7 Healers, but enough DPS to get her down to 70% on her first ground phase. I bet we could have done it with 5-6 healers, but it was our first kill lol.

my guild i'd say is decently geared, most with 213+ gear, but I know our main problem is people surviving. And I'm hearing that we're suppose to get him down to 75% on the first ground phase.. We are no where close to 75% on the first ground phase... lol so is our dps AND surviving our issue? If you know.. what is the avg dps per dps class in your raids?

We had healers DPS too (if you squint really hard you can see my 4k smites =P) So the adds have to be gone (maybe one tank can hold one or two) so EVERYONE DPSs. In my video, he flies up at 71%, with dots still ticking. As far as DPS goes, I can't really answer how much because I don't really pay attention to that LOL. But if you can't get him down to 75% then something needs to change with your dps: lose a healer, or just step it up. Pop bloodlust and cooldowns EVERYTHING you have for it!

My b/f is always survival and another is usually Marks for the attack pwr buff, usually the third huntard is surv/marks. Dunno why he was BM here. He's Canadain. Does that explain it? =3 (I know nothing about hunters1!!)

haha yeah beeing canadian explains a lot, it doesn''t compensate really, but it explains :D. I've never heard of a MM hunter for AP buffs in a raid.. I should defenitly check that out. I'm an SV hunter myself, but I'm waaaay undergeared next to my guild. so I usually get carried, and it would be nice if I could provide an AP buff for the raid :D so that I'm not totally useless.

Read the info. I didn't typo it, I use the horrible program called Windows Movie Maker, and with special fonts like that it chops off the last word. It did with almost all of the videos I made for my old guild.

It's not so much a healing addon as it is a unit frames addon. It's called xperl unit frames. It's pretty massive and very customizable, even if it does take awhile to learn how to use it.

A LOT of healers use the addon called Grid. Which has the "blocks with people's names". I'm just used to xperl.

I know a couple healers that use Grid and I use Xperl just for the nifty unit frames, but I use Healbot for healing. For other classes like a pally who only have a couple spells it isn't very useful but for priests who have a ton of spells it can be very helpful.

I think what makes my actionbars and chat box look "small" is that I finally upgraded to a 22inch widescreen monitor. Since my space to work with is so much bigger, everything looks small!

But I used Bartender (which you can make your icons big or small), xperl for unit frames, eepanels for the panels behind my chatbox and actionbars, SCT, and that's about it. =3 Hope this helped. Sent you a mail!

Just a quick request, what is that addon you use that displays the mana/dmg done in the arcs? Is that icehud?

It's actually Scrolling Combat Text (SCT). You just have to set it up so that it arcs like that. It's really customizable!

The way I have it is all my heals to the right, all my mana regen, damage done to me, and other stuff to the left. My buffs/procs show up above my frames. Anything crits is sticky above my head. You can do so much with it!

Is this at phase 2 when she's grounded? We had problems in the beginning of we didn't get her to phase 2 soon enough and by the time she was grounded she was enraged. One shotting everyone. I'm sure one of my other guildies will see this and maybe give you an answer. But I do know that if you don't get her grounded soon enough she enrages.

Feronia, are you splitting your dps and groups on left and right side or just floating DPS on the adds, our guilds main problem is killing and controlloing the adds when he lands, but my CO-GM thinks a split of the raid is wrong.

When we first started we just kind of, had everyone floating around. Then we actually broke the raid down into 3 groups with a tank to each group, and put them around the backside of the circle. DPS stuck with their tanks and their areas and DPSd down their adds. Healers just floated around. IF another group needed help, we'd adjust.

After we used that strat, it was much less clustery and we controlled the adds much easier.

We did it this way. We broke the raid up into 2 groups, with a tank or 2 in each group. (3 tanks total) The tanks collect the adds and we aoe/dps them down. Healers bounce between the groups, and avoid fire. When she comes down, everyone dpses, including the healers.

When she stays down after 50 percent, the three tanks use their shield walls and taunt it off of each other, facing her away from the raid because of her breath.

Boom! Dead dragon. =3
