  • @Motorcraft1986 or you can go out, get a job and buy one for yourself and try it with your own Cobra...i want to know how much better you would be at flooring the gas in 4th gear than i would..its not rocket science u dodo...read the description too

  • 4:10's chew up your top speed. Your redline before you actually hit the cars top speed.

  • @5spd5thgen This car has 4.10 gears....of course it's going to pull slowly on the top end.

  • you have similar mods to my old 97 cobra. i had k&n filter, pullies, offroad hpipe, flowmasters and 4.10 gears. I could easily get it up to 150-160ish...it would redline 4th around 120 with the 410s and even when I switched into overdrive (5th) even though it wasn't pulling as hard it still pulled steady all the way up the speedo until it reached 150s-160. I did it racing an ls1 vette once. it was a 6 speed...kinda sounded like it had exhaust but it was barely pullin till 5th then it walked

  • @midnight347 cool...i mean they run good with those mods..but they dont pull to hard in 5th for many obvious reasons...

  • Oh no I was sayin cause he said that there 342s stock that's not true there 327s stock, and yeah I have 410s in my 5.0 there not friendly at high speeds but up to 90 there nice

  • @xtreme3484 u are wrong to, All 94-98 mustangs have the same gear ratio that is 3:08 on 5 speed, and 3:27 comes in 99-04 and 3:30 on 05-11

  • @tusobreviviente Actually your wrong. 96-98 Cobras ratio was 327. No less gt either had 273 96-97 or 308s. Option for 327 available 98 308 with 327 available in premium. And 05-11 is 331. No 330 Thanks have a good day.

  • @tusobreviviente No, most Mustangs came with 2.73's. 3.08's were on all automatics. 3.27's were optional on GTs and on all the Cobras.

  • @DIENAMICProductions thansk...take a bone stock cobra and pull one plug wire and then put a 4:10 rear in it and see if urs is anyfaster than this...

  • @DIENAMICProductions well the car at the time would beat my buddies g35 that had every bolt on as well (intake spacer,TB, test pipes hi flow cats headers etc) and my cobra would beat it froma dig and from a roll....the 03 acura rsx would prob be a good match from my car now since i am S/C, and i would bury that 300c, my dad uses to hae a 08 Hemi R/T AWD charger so i know how fast those r, my cobra beat a 300c SRT 8 with exhaust and intake...but nice cars bro

  • @87Jaws yeah I was wondering what was wrong and why he couldn't get her up to the 'real' top speed but then I seen where he was running on 7 cylinders so that's pretty good

  • haha thanks, the 4:10s in 5th gear made the car take forever to get up to highspeeds, the 4:10s are good from 0-110

  • @Localdrummerweb wow yea that is killer..i swapped to 3:55s now and have a kenne bell 1.5 so that helps alot

  • @cpstang24 yeah I want to Supercharge mine too..but im having some issues with it draining the battery if I dont drive it for a few days..had the alternator checked and it was fine so IDK what the heck it is..if I did ever supercharge it I would have to cut back the gears too..3.55 should be a great gear for a S/C cobra..lots of top end : )

  • @Localdrummerweb you might have a bad ground, loose connection from the alternator, or some other nonsense....but uhh ya the supercharger was deff worth it, makes you realize what a bone the car was stock and what a slow ass piece o crap everything else is on the road..ahaha and yes gear cut back is key...i can do 165mph np now with plenty of rpm left....great all around..if iw ere to do it again tho,,, maybe 3:73s

  • @cpstang24 I bet..I guarantee it would wake the car up for sure..Im looking into the ground issue..my car is alot faster than the 2004 GT I had as it sits..that S/C would be sick!

  • @cpstang24 did you go ring and pinion? or a full rear end?

  • @SuRihtanil just ring and pinion swapped it to a 3:55 now...no point to do a whole rear end..the 8.8 that comes stock in the mustang gt's and cobras handles a ton of power

  • @cpstang24 I was wondering because I was considering 3:55 ring and pinion in my 96 LT1 but wasn't sure if it would hold up or not.

  • @SuRihtanil gotcah, yea a 3:55 wont help much tho bro..u have 3:42S STOCK...i would go 3:90 or 373s atleast....373s are the best all around...but my 2 cents..it will hold up..

  • @cpstang24 His car comes stock with 327s not 342s thats a camaro. 410s are not created for high speed driving trust me. He was prob gonna top out soon haha But the rip through 60 is prob hella fast. so when he leaves you off the line .

  • @xtreme3484 his car is a Camaro..mine is the Cobra..i know what my car comes with from the factory..his car comes with 3:42s and is a camaro...the 4:10s were real qucik to 60..took so long for me to top the car out..

  • Seemed a little on the slow side for a cobra but it sounded AWESOME

  • @best17driver thanks man, it was actually running on 7cyl at the time, i had a bad plug wire and it was killing power bad...now its fixed with new wires and a blower...lol
