the color and the shape is the best offering by the foo's as a band....the first album done by grohl only is a very close second.

im not huge into the soft piano and accoustic guitars as they have been doin the last few albums

i agree, the colour and the shape is their best, although i would personally rate there is nothing left to lose as the close second, rather than self-titled, although the latter is good.

in any case, in my opinion everything from this decade has been relatively poor, with the exception of a few standout tracks on each album, including this one (in fact 2:24 - 3:05 is one of my all time favourite foo's moments). their awesome cover of band on the run is worth a mention too i guess.

The Foo's songwriting skills seem to grow with every album. Sure, there are a few songs I don't care for, but I am sure that every song speaks for some.
