Thank YOU for uploading a LIVE performance video of this classic rock anthem. I've always loved the Winter's, together or apart, musically ahead of everyone. I used to describe acid rock by referencing what I called the electronic water dripping sounds in Frankenstein. Ahhh only 47 but some days feeling old when so many youngsters come who don't have any idea how COOL this music, or song, has always been, never losing its appeal.

I can never get enough of this CLASSIC! Edgar & the band's Best! Funny - it almost was trashed... just a bunch of band break outtakes - spliced togther to make a 'Frankenstein' of a song.... & it became an Epic! almost 40 years ago today.... They Only Come Out @ Night is definately Edgar's best work to date. The entiore album is a must listen to... over & over & over again. This live rendition is incredible. Thanks YouTube!

Saw him do this live as the finale at Vanderbuilt University spring of '73. The entire back stage was wired with huge flash bulbs that went off in one giant pulse at the end. Every one was still blinded after the ovation and could barely figure out how to get out, or, it could have been the hallucigens.
