There obviously too many people driving their lousy cars on the ring. there fore the ring taxi can't go full power. VERY nice driving tho! Pretty aggresive but awesome! :D

thats the real reason that cooper is keeping up. If those taxi drivers went all out, they embarrass most at that track, and many people would die trying to keep up with them. the drive slower for the sake of safety, not to show off how great they are compared to amateur drivers with fast cars.

the reason why the M5 taxi seems slower is that the taxi drivers deliberately slow down. Sabine has stated many times that they taxi slow because people would get themselves killed trying to keep up or race them if they went all out.

But Notice what dirty scoundrel Taxi Driver does at 1:17 to 1:31....he blocked GP through the series of corners by staying side by side to slower car, then at final corner into straight he went flat out knowing the GP only had 218hp compared to 507hp. Btw: my GP only got 191hp at the wheels on base run on dyno (rolling road), Its US spec though, only 214hp. The standard is you loose 15-30%hp. I assume you're converting to wheel to crank, cause that makes numbers correct? maybe conservative.

Yes probably so, also maybe fuel has some to do, I was told for US they use 91 octane for all testing.

@frigo1966 haha! yeh! I kept losing him in the straights, but u get up on the curves and may have chances to overtake him easily haha!! nice driving there! is that a stock mini GP? did you add any more modifications to it? it sounds awesome !

@frigo1966 Yep. That's the R53 benefit, few cars can enter a turn that quick. Even 911's fear the MINI, your time is about the end result not speed in the straights. Nice work.
