  • @lexusowner 8.5 x 11 dumb ass LOL

  • that measures short paper

  • i'm born with that. i had it since i was a baby

  • this is really interesting. Yes lol hahaha

  • thank you for the vid! really helped me out :D!

  • did you cut the 5 squares in 2 or 3 rectangular pieces? so we need 10 or 15 rectangular pieces to make it?

  • can you make it into 15 pieces of paper?

  • took him 2 min to start folding paper. I have an idea why don't you be quiet and just show us

  • @deleteaman Well, excuse me for trying to be informative. x.x

  • do you need tape ?

  • la verdad ya hice esa estrella y queda muy padre si me costo mucho trabajo pero valio la pena

  • actually, tetrahedrons are considered pyramids.

its been a while since i took geometry, but basically, the definition of a pyramid is a polyhedron with a planar, polygonal base, whose lateral faces are triangles that meet at a vertex not on the base.

although calling this a tetrahedron is more proper because it is more specific, you would not be incorrect in calling it a pyramid

  • der weally......pwetty

  • is it possible to have a 10 intersecting Tetrahedra Dodecahedron?

  • nice etoil

  • thnk u i made this in a day

  • thanks sooooooo much.

  • omg were do u get ur paper at? :3 this looks pretty easy!! ^_^ please tell me adkit2!!!!

  • I found this, via a friend, and thoght to pass it on to you...

  • it was funny when you said... "I am not going to show you how to make all of them because..that would be stupid." !!!!! So funny!!!!!!!!!!!! XD I really do love the tutorial! I am going to start making this soon! Thank you!!

  • Btw, great video, easy to follow, many thanks. Have managed to impress all my friends who now think i'm some kind of paper wizard. Thanks!

  • You can use a4, cut it down into a square, then fold into 3rds and cut again so you have strips (so 3 strips put together look like 1 square) if that makes sense. so you should have 30 strips not 30 squares.

  • thnks :) helped allittle lol

  • what kind of paper are you supposed to use?? just rerular square ones or A4 or something else?

  • how do you make 3 parts out of the square? help

  • @LEDGENDKING5 divide the paper into 3 equal parts for example if you have a 9cm x 9cm paper measured 3cm paper make a line to divide

  • thanks :) add me

  • MEASURE

  • I like your voice, great instruction

  • lol ur voice sounds like the one from the french guy in "taladaga knights: the ballad of ricky bobby" lol

  • it's nice

  • Thank you! This video helped me! Thanks!

  • LOL but I usually just call them "spikey balls" I love it! Sorry I am taking it seriously I have my quality paper and I'm ready to go. I will post on video 2 of my final progress :D

  • "The folding is pretty easy so...ill do that now...i guess" LOL

  • " I promise there are six of them" LOL

  • I can make a gondola from a piece of paper

  • gondola?

  • yes you should and no the text wasnt annoying

  • i thought the text was cool

  • LOl tried this model 2 years ago, ended up as a fail. Im hoping I can get it to work this time xD!

  • to answer your question, number 1...yes, you should make more instructional vid's. They are great ways to learn.

  • "But i just call it a spikey ball." LOL MADE ME LAUGH

  • This would be really cool to have in my room, but unfortunately, my fingers are INCREDIBLY clumsy. :p

  • Ingredients...Lol

  • "Because that would be stupid...Yes" LOL Nice

  • my sister made these for geometry when she was my age now I gotta learn how to make them. hers was so good the teacher hung it up with a string on the ceiling lol

  • 'They're called a five intersecting tetrahedra dodecahedron or something. I usually just call them Spiky Balls'

You're awesome! Thanks for this! (:

  • I like your humor.Including the text messages in the video.

  • If i can't fin five different color pieces of paper (no joke i only got white red and green) what can i do?

  • You're not joking, that's what I had to do.

  • Ha i found orange and yellow! :P

  • Great Tutorial! thanks very much!

    1.YES, make MORE Videos !

2.The Text makes the video pretty funny and not as boring as other videos!

    ---and 3. I'm Subscribing!

  • "there called Tetrahedra Dodecahedrons, i normaly call them spikey balls." LOL

  • Some patience you got there!

Nice work! Im looking forwards making one for my bf...

    Thanks for uploading! xD

  • Nice video!

    Please keep uploading!

  • Clear with humour = thanks!!!

  • Awesome tutorial! I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for uploading this, I enjoyed listening to you. Easy to follow as well as funny.

    1) Yes, absolutely.

    2) I found the text helpful.

  • 1 MAKE MORE VIDEOS!!!

2 text at the bottom of the screen made the vid not as boreing as others i've seen

3 Thank you so much for putting up this video it helped so much!

  • i'm in the process of making mine as i'm typing this. thanx 4 the instructional vid. def keep it up!

  • Muito, muuuito bom!

É incrível como achamos complicado quando vemos...

Ao ver parece que se monta de uma forma, e quando vemos como realmente é montado chegamos a ervar ums susto, rsrs.

    Obrigada pelo vídeo ;D

  • Fuck me, man, that's epic.

    Good job.

  • never midn i got it sorry

  • on 7:55 how did u make that whole?

cuz i cant see where mine is on the paper!

    please help

  • do the same folding paper in half instead fold into three parts?

  • oh damn!! that small one is awsome..

  • thanks i might check itno that and btw wanna be friends

  • i did it =D

  • uhhhhh sure?

  • i dont under stand how to make the part that lets them intersect

  • theres another one that shows still pictures of the intersecting parts.

  • Man, building the pieces are easy, but putting the thing together is insanely hard. i gave up trying to put it together.

i dont know how u do it

  • dammit man im deaf

  • Try turning the volume up REALLY high?

  • can you please put on the size of the paper after you have cut it into a rectangle etc? other than that, great video

  • Well it's A4 paper. So if you make A4 paper into a square then the rectangles would be the length of that square and 1/3rd of the width. Which means that it doesn't matter what size it is as long as it's 1:3. :P

However, if you still want the size it would be 21cm x 7

  • Thanks :)

  • supplies?

  • Great vid great explanation, I think Im going to give this to my bf, he likes this stuff but he cant made them lol, thanks for the vid keep doing them

  • you should make more videos b/c you have a silly personality. I think you can speed it up a little though, it was not hard to follow.

  • I made it slow for the people who DID find it hard to follow though. :P You know like how in schools, if the teacher explains something to the entire class and everyone but one person understands, then the teacher has to explain it all over again because that one person was dragging the rest of the class?

Yeah, uh, no offense to anyone reading this.

  • From America -Mexico- thank you, because your voice is realy clear and you've made the initial foldings most easy. Thanks for a great teaching. (sorry my bad english), but.. maybe you'd think make your records/vds in spanish? of course it will be to easy understand you. Gracias y saludos cordiales =D

  • Pro Tip:

DO NOT USE NOTEBOOK PAPER TO MAKE THIS!!

Well you can, but be prepared for extreme frustration.

  • Es lo que necesitaba, instrucciones detalladas, ahora solo tango que aprender ingles jaja

  • make more videos please this is great

  • very good

  • your an awesome instructor!

    tack!

  • for once i understand an instructional video of a complicated origami peace!!

most video sux but i understood yours thanks

  • 6:52 - 7:02 :P

  • love ur vids, more instructional vids please!

  • SPIKEY BALLS! lol

  • Thank you so much! I´ll try it!!! :-)

  • you should make a tetrahedron fractal.....

  • Thank you~! you've made the initial foldings most easy to achieve. And~~ i like your voice and your accent~! and you were funny and made me giggle~! very very enjoyable! and terrific to learn by~! How do you say Thank You in Swedish?

  • "Thank you" in swedish would be "tack". There's no "you" in that sentence in swedish though, we just say "thanks" and hope everybody knows who we were talking about. :)

    Thanks yourself.

  • so, i want to say "tack"

    and to answer your questions:

1.) yes, make more introduction videos

2.) and the text is great

    that is my opinion...

and i really like the comments...

    MOVIEMAGIC 4 EVER ^^

  • what are the diminsions of the rectangle

  • me gustaria saber que dices, pero, te demoraste mas de 10 minutos en explicar como hacer el papel !

  • its also called a triangular prism.:)

  • To split paper into 3rds:

1/Search for free graph paper on google,Print it off.

2/Cut it to match ur square.

3/Count little boxes on graph paper 2split it into exact 3rds.

4/Place it onto of square u wish to cut into 3rds.

5/Score down v hard with a pen along lines that split graph paper into 3rds.This will leave an imprint on the under sheet &u can cut along these lines.

Use a craft night &cut all sheets at once or cut severeral at once with scissors.

    It works perfectly.

  • Hmm none of my comments are working :(

  • i try folding paper into thirds but i cant seem to line up. like i go too far one way or not far enough. are u just realy good at eyeing it or do u use some type of measurement?

  • wait, that would only give you 4 parts of each color, yet, you need to make 3 parts out of each individual square right? do u use a ruler to cut the individual square into thirds?

  • Did I say two halves? I meant three thirds. :P I forgot to make sense.

Also, I'm telling ya: make one extra square. Then fold it into three thirds, it doesn't need to be neat, just move the folds around until you get thirds. Then use that folded square to line up all the other squares you need to fold! Just put it beside an unfolded square and follow the lines!

I actually recorded that but I had to cut it for time. I talk too much.

  • any tips on making the 6 parts of each color even?

  • How do you mean? How to fold them even or how to cut them even? Because if you make them out of two squares and simply fold those squares into two halves they'll all be even...?

  • Thank you SO much to Adkit2. I have tried making one of these from books and from other videos online but have always failed.I got it right first time after using your video.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video :)

  • That is an accomplishment! Keep it up! :P

  • ok i have 4 things to say!

    ..............................................

#1.Not to be rude but your one of those people that when they explain stuff they say it over and over again and drag it out,and to be honest (it dosnt help with your accent)(sarcasm)

#2.Yes some of the text at the bottom WAS annoying (because some were pointless and dumb)

#3.well idunno..if you should do more instructional videos.

    and

#4.This looks really hard..not easy at all

but u say it is (yeah right) <.< pshhh

  • I try to overexplain things in this video because I know it's kind of hard to see what I'm doing and all that. If someone makes a bad fold the thing won't fit together right, you know?

And it's just the end result that looks hard, try to think of it in steps. There are only 3.

    1) Make one little side-part.

    2) Make an assload more.

    3) Put each end together with another end.

It's not that hard when you think aboot it, yo.

  • buen video, gracias

  • i found the little comments in the bottom to be amusing and entertaining

  • I finally made two!

The first one was fucking hardcore, - I almost gave up because of the 3rd tetrahedra. Then I found a picture online and corrected it.

The second one was pretty fast. I'll use them as christmas presents...

    Thank you!

  • the name is wrong lol its just a 5 instersecting tetrahedra

  • errr, no. there's no such word as "instersecting". and if you're talking about the fact that I have "dodecahedron" at the end that's because it's five tetrahedra that's intersected, making the shape of a dodecahedron.

so the name isn't wrong, good sir. you, sir are wrong, sir. x.x

  • oh but everytime i have ever looked at it in the books it is named Five Intersecting Tetrahedra.... its probally pointless arguing with someone who has been at this alot longer than i lol

  • well, maybe that's the name the creator named it or maybe it's a matter of point of view but if you look up dodecahedron you'll see why I call it that. :P

also, it's so fun to say. x.x

  • (1) i really think that you're good at making these kind of videos, so yea i think u should make more (i dont know what u get out of it but the rest of us profit a lot^^)

(2)the text coming up at the bottom of the screen was great!! really funny, made watching the film enjoyable as well as instructive:P

as soon as i saw it i started to make 1, im half way through the folding stages and its going ok so far, ill post again when im done if it turns out ok:P

    thanks for the vid

  • I just wanted you to know that I find your paper craft instructional videos very informing. Though I haven't managed to make this correctly yet, you explained it very well. ^_^

  • well I'm not happy until you successfully make one. :P if I can't teach people to make it then it kind of defeats the purpose of a tutorial, you know? x.x keep trying, you can do it!

  • Oh, it's mainly trouble I'm having with the arthritis in my hands right now is making it more difficult for me. I grasp the concept, but my fingers don't want to do the work. I'll take a picture and post it on DA after I manage to make one. ^_^

  • oh, arthritis is for babies. face the pain! you can do it! ...no but really, good luck with that.

or just make someone do one for you for christmas. :)

  • Make someone do it for me? Hrm. Now there's an idea... ;;>.>... -Begins considering victims for this task-

  • don't look at me! I've made enough of these things and you have no idea how annoying it would be to send one to america from here without ruining it. :P

    of course I COULD do it...for some...candy.

  • 1 Yes

    2 Not really, I didn't even notice.

Going to try this soon though, thanks. :D

  • Oh~ thanks for that video! :D, i'm gonna give it a try and see if i can do it~.

    Greeting felow /po/tard XD

    :V

  • you can do it if you believe in the power of your heart! and also if you're incredibly stubborn! mostly the last part.

and I guess that is better than being called a /r/tard. :P

  • I believe in it!! XD

    i bet!! XD

    Kisses for you :3

  • believe it! x.x

    and hugs for you.

  • Hello again dear. I did the five tetrahedron, but i cannot figure out how to assemble the complete star X~X

    I have tried several times intersecting them, but i have failed, they did not ended up as pretty as the picture and the one on your video ;__;

  • it's hard to put it together without making the paper all crumpled since you have to bend the sides to fit them into their places. :S

the trick to putting it all together is getting the third tetrahedra right. the fourth and fifth are easy if you know how it all works. :S

  • wow, this is the first video i watched that dosn't make the tedrahedra look impossible. you make it look easy since you dont speed it up to 999 mph. thanks!

  • it also works with dollar bills

  • I LOVE your comments on your video!!!

  • Wow I've been looking out for a video like this one for ages!!! It's a good thing I was wanting to make a complicated model at this time. I tried looking for the 5 intersecting tetrahedra and what do you know, I found a good one which isn't sped up. 5/5

  • what can I say? I hope you do it. good luck and stuff.

  • love your videos! Make more of them!

;) I made a magic box, - maybe try this tomorrow. I need to buy paper first. That's a cool christmas present. :)

  • I know, personally I'd rather get one of these from a loved one than a new car. because more thought is put into one of these. :)

however, most people don't think like that so be careful who you give one to. ;)

  • whaoooo , that looks hard to do,, good work m8 5/5
