I see you have a maxima too. You might not know this but our cars have a limiter that limits the speed to 118 MPH (about 190 km/hr) and cuts the power to the engine. I dont know if it is possible to go that fast or not in this car stock but I can tell you only that nothing would surprise me on a car like this that has the speed limiter line cut. Although I would not try it myself because thats way too fast for me especially when my hood wont close all the way due to a severe need of body work.

wrong, only a few models of this car are limited. i have an SE that's hit 135 before (would have kept going, at 4,000rpm..had to let off) I believe the GLE is the one that's limtied at 115.

yup, my 97' 3.0L MEVI version A32 (japan version) can run around 235km/h w/o any modification on an A/T. Now juz mod the intake piping and air filter, can even burn on 20" rubbers hehe...

i install a long pipe headres,costom exhaut pipe,aftermarket muffler,and custom cold air intake. thats it....

the stock maxima can do 260 on a downhill !!!!

ur car has a speed limiter.

u can do 130 on 4th gear man.

if u remove it u will see 4 ur self.

4 ur info AT has nearly 900 rpm more on final drive than 5th on MT.

so u will get more speed but less accelration on AT.

my car is an american spec. the japan spec has Variable intake like middle east spec. its more powerfull about 8-13 hp on the wheels so if i install it i think i should have a 6th gear!!!!!

problem is where to get the 6th gear?? and even for the A/T, it is sufficient for the top speed of around 235 - 240km/h for MEVI 3.0L V6 stock standard, it is a really good engine.

@Timothayyy Because when it first shifts, it is not a peak horsepower, but as the speed and rpms increase, it starts making more HP.  There may have also been a hill that made the acceration change.

hi emiki30 i install the long pipe headres not the short pipe becouse u will get the power on high rpm (top end).thats how the car got the high speed.

u will feel the power if u do it.

it my country it coust me 1500 dollar+250 leper

becouse the parts was imported from the usa to saudi arabia.i think the parts is cheeper in usa but i dont know about the leper
