Im trying to un-root  my g1, when i place the rc-29 file on my sd card and try to reboot i keep running into an issue.... Whenever i enter the boot mode, it never gives me an option to install the update, it goes from the multi colored screen to gray scree, instantly back into the multi colored screen and stays there.... WHAT DO I DO? i can still use my phone and all that good stuff....

ok i fixed my problem. i just put the sd card into a card reader...re-downloaded RC33 update from coolpstuts website..renamed the file to update put it on the card and reupdated my phone...it kept all my apps and files, just replaced anything that was missing..from there i re loaded a theme that i knew worked and bam..everything is all good without loosing data

hey i was changing the theme on my g1. i did the step by step instructions. i downloaded the theme put it on my g1 removable disc folder, rebooted my phone with holding home and power buttons clicked ctrl s and downloaded the theme, but when i rebooted it again the screen that say tmobile g1 never leaves, and i cant get back on my phone. p.s. this was not the first theme ive put on this was the 3rd one and this time this happened

Ok, so I tried 2 install this MAC theme and I wasn't sure which version I was supposed 2 use. I do have the RC33 update, but the firmware says 1.1. N e who, when I put the zip on my sd card and cut the phoneoff, and started it back up under the recover mode, it showed the same exact thing that came up when u did it, but it wouldn't install @ all. Please help me out.

Once you unmoded your G1 and you are still in Recovery Mode (the one with the Green, red, and blue stripes) and want to reboot the phone you don't acually have to take out the battery. If you press the "Call" button, the "MENU" button, and the "Power" button at the same time it will reboot automatically. Only do this this once you have actually sucsessfully installed the update and your back at the boot mode main menu.

Cupcake is real... You can download the cupcake right now but for the SDK. And In the end you don't have to remove the battery, Just press the Call button(green), menu button, and the End button(red) at the same time. Don't remove the battery. Btw CUPCAKE RULES!!!!

I didn't get RC33 by jailbreaking so I can't help you there.

But if you want the update you just have to wait for it. It's supposed to go out to everyone from the 5th-15th. But if you jailbreak it, you can get it now. But like I said I don't know how to do that. Ask CoolPsTuts.

Why are you disappointed?? You didn't read your news right. There is no such thing as a Cupcake UPDATE. Nobody ever said there was, BUT, the Cupcake is a tool that the Google Developers are using to MAKE new things. What that means is that, all the updates, like all the things we got with RC33 and everything else to come is made using Cupcake.
