i love this, this is the only video from that night that you can see proves its Robert's favourite. Out of all covers this is the one that made him smile, this cover is what this tribute show was about, yeah AFI's cover was impressive, but the whole point of bands covering the artist is to show how the band was inspired by the main artist, Blink took a Cure song, and made it their own, and it was amazing, AFI's just was a cover, blink got this right.

I respect that Blink took this song and made it their own, but I reserve my right as a listener and fan to say it fails. It just does not capture or respect the beauty and fragility of the Cure's original, and while does become its own unique form, it doesn't mean it's good or that the music suits the lyrics they are carrying. They should have covered another song imo.

He's using a phaser and a flanger together, I've played this in shops so many times. What he does there is full on flanger, phaser, and overdrive and then just alternate strums as fast as he can, if you watch closely :)
