  • Good method, I would be worried about using any pre packaged stuff though, because of the chemicals and artificial ingreedients in there. You have those beautiful organic tomatoes, you can just make the sauce and freeze it, and add some spices and seasoning easily when you want to cook with it. :)

  • @PinkShirtz , is true but I feel ok with this mix, I realize it can be hard to get away from all processed stuff, but I had these and I had to use them, plus the ingredients in this packet is pretty limited not seeing anything to really scare me from using it.. and it is better than going out to eat fast food.. I do have my fresh tomatoes that are over compensated vs the mix.. :)

  • @dianemummvideos indeed much better than fast food! :)

  • A great idea for those of us with less energy, ( i call myself lazy) a large slow cooker works wonders.

The longer I cook mine, the thicker it gets.

Plus I add all sorts of things. Like mushrooms, black olives, peppers, onions, Burger, at times I've added zucchinis as well.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @leannvlewis , absolutely add whatever else works wonderfully, thanks for coming by!

  • thanks. now I am really really hungry. great video

  • @SteveHarpster , my job is done..lol nice seeing ya!

  • I will have to see if I can find Mrs. Wages, don't think I've ever seen it up here. I still have frozen whole tomatoes from last year that I haven't used.

  • @dalecalder2003 it does work in a pinch dale, you can buy it online too..:) I have many frozen ones too, and it works well for them..

  • What a great idea Diane!

I subbed. Hope you're able to check out my channel too. I bake and make Korean Food =D

  • That looks good. As I was watching this I was thinking about how I used to freeze liquidy foods by putting them in a freezer container, freeze them then pop them out of the container and put them in a plastic bag. Was wondering why I did it that way then I remembered that we didn't have zip lock bags back then. Wow, it seems like those things have been around forever.

  • @imstillworkin thanks Susan, I used to use them too.. do they have those plastic containers around anymore?, I really don't know..

  • I really like Mrs. Wages Salsa, did not know they had one for pasta sauce. That would be a great way to use up the tomatoes in the freezer. I did buy the one to make pickles, but did not get to try it. I am into to freezing too. It just seems so much easier. Great video.

  • @loislaney23 Hi Lois, yep they do, they have lots of mixes this one works well in a pinch for sure.. I used to use the pickle one too years ago.. thanks so much for stopping by and supporting my videos, I hope to see some from you soon..:)
