Jackie also is a real fighter with real training who chose acting AFTER learning to fight. Granted, Jackie is not as spectacular, but Jet Li is one hell of a good fighter. Don't underestimate them.

Tony jaa is not a master, he is a "student" master. Yes, he has perfected the martial arts styles of both muay thai and tai kwan do (but mostly became famous for doing muay thai) we have to realize that he is still young and he is still in the learning process.

Of course it's staged, but Tony Jaa is promoting martial arts in a very positive energetic way. He has a strong MT background and is an incredible stuntman who learned from the greats such as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li.

I am Thai and I know what Muay Boran is and it is no different from Muay Thai like I said. You can see in his demos that he has rehearsed identical routines for all his demos just like gymnastic routines. Infact, most of his moves are pure gymnastic maneuvers. No martial artist uses Tony's type of moves because they are very inefficient. This simply isn't martial arts.

You don't even know what muay boran (มวยโบราน) is, you don't even know what the essence of martial arts is, and you probably don't know what gymnastics or acrobatics is. Muay Boran is exactly the same as Muay-Thai minus gloves and stoppages. You are confusing his high-flying abilities with martial arts prowess. Break dancers, gymnasts, acrobats, etc. can all spin on their heads and do triple back flips, but that doesn't make them martial artists. Why don't we see anything even close to this Tony spectacular in the UFC or K-1? Because martial arts is about taking out your opponents with efficient executions, look at Bruce or Fedor.

Actually Tony Jaa is using his gymnastics skills to exaggerate and emulate the martial arts moves inspired from his idols (Bruce, Jakie, Jet, etc.). All the spectacular moves that he demonstrates is not Muay-Thai nor is it martial arts. If you minus his ethnicity and fight stances, all you have is a very good gymnast or acrobat. Any good gymnast would master his moves easily. The fact that he does the exact same moves on all of his demos is not a coincidence you know.
