This basically reminded me of everything I loved about FFXI; the story, the cutscenes, ToAU's general aesthetic, and the great times I had with my friends while completing the story missions. The first quest is called "Saga of the Skyserpent" and you can Start it by talking to Far-Wari in Shararat Teahouse in Whitegate. Once you finish all the quests you get a "Mercenary Camp Entry" which you can take to Stellar Fulcrum and use it to enter a lv60 cap bcnm where you fight the 5 Serpent Generals. If you win you get the extremely cool title: "The Sixth Serpent".

as much as that sucks for you, the ultimate collection is only $20 now and you get everything. only other hope is to contact SE and try and get your account information from them, youll probably need an approved Notary Form to prove your identity

The footage is from Treasures of Aht Urhgan missions, and that NPC is the same model as my character, and I used a dat mod to change my hair to black because I never liked the fact that it looked brown in the character selection screen and orange in the actual game. I think that covers it :p
Love your work. Just stumbled upon "Dancer's do it best" and that lead me to epic and this. This one is by far my favorite. The subtleties in the tempo matching the action is something a lot of people miss in making good music videos. Great Job!
FFXI is a fun game. Unlike WoW, FFXI takes more patience and dedication. It almost always requires a party to get far in the game, but the hard work you put into it makes it feel a lot more gratifying. Because of the party system, you'll have a lot more friendships along the way which makes it that much better. :) Recently, SE has added new features to make it a little more friendly for new players. The grind from 1-10 is rough and can make you want to quit, but hang in there, it gets better. ^^
Yep, keeping with the tradition of any FF game, FFXI is very storyline/cutscene heavy, especially for an MMO. Since there's so many people, your character is involved in them but takes on the 'silent protagonist' role, so your character doesn't actually say anything in them. As for if it's good for an MMO...it's been around for six years now and shows no signs of stopping. Just don't expect it to be as fast or easy as something like WoW.
yes lotsa cutscenes and ur character is involved in tons of the cutscenes.... DEFINITELY GET FINAL FANTASY XI ONLINE!!! and don't forget to get the new one with the Wings of the Goddess expansion included :D oh... and Join Midgardsormr when you join... doooooo iiiiit!!!! you won't regret it!
I had it once and really hated the lvling system only got to lvl 3 and died 10 times. It took 2 days to get to lvl 3. 2 DAYS!!
But im thinking of getting it again for 360 this time. I heard it gets better once u get to lvl 10. But I also heard that if u want more than one character u'll have to pay for both of them. which kinda seems like a ripoff

your a moron, or just plain stupid if you think it takes 2 days to get level 3, in 1 day i can get level 20 easy, with 8 hours of play, with just 2 hours i can get level 10. the xp required to level scales. 500xp for lvl 2 while level 74>75 takes 44k xp
Well the thing with 11 is that its the cheapest mmo out there right now I believe. Each new character only costs a dollar and the only reason you'd really need another character is for mules and such since you can do everything on 1 character.

2:45 and on is so sick. It's amazing how good the cutscenes in FFXI are now. When Odin breaks out the Hofud and starts to do Zantetsuken a shiver went down my spine. Excellent work man.

There actually is. The Goblin Footprint in the Ruins is located from the main Bhaflau Thickets entrance at F-6. Obviously, you'll have to pay a silver piece to get inside.
Was wondering who would recognize it first. It's by the Dust Brothers off the Fight Club soundtrack, called 'Corporate World.' It starts playing about halfway through the song. In the movie it's played during the climax scene at the end.
Technically he's about a year old now, but yea from what I've seen he's one of the coolest NPCs from the whole game... though I wouldn't mind seeing a fight between him and Selh'teus.

Yep this isnt WoW. You can play all of the 20 jobs on 1 charakter. So far there is only 1 of 500k ppl known to have 20x75.
You really dont need more then 1 char. And yeah wow at 10 deaths.. stop fight stuff thats too strong for ur level would be an idea xD. lawl, ouch

Wow.. That was just above amazing. It was very moving, and very, very well put together. I have to give you mad props. There aren't many people who can throw together a good video like this one. When's your next FFXI video scheduled for release? If never, I say you should make another one. Maybe when WoTG becomes more developed.

Hehe thank you very much! Once my schedule clears up I'm planning to do something with CoP. Hopefully I'll be able to release it a little after spring break.

awesome vid! great work, and I actually liked the song, but only because it went with the vid so well.
It was like one of those high-energy trailers for action movies where they throw in a little bit of all the cool parts of the movie. I think that's what you just did here, except for the fact it was spoilerific (as movie trailers usually are anyway).
