now that's class!! I was at that gig - I was all of 11 years old and my sister took me along. It remains one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I just might kill for this poster - nothing personal ha ha:)

Bothy Band's rendition of Irish music seems to raw to me compared with other groups, even the Chieftans. Carries me away. I get lost in the richness and textures they create.

@sosome57 Oops. I didn't mean too raw, I meant to say SO raw to me - in a very GOOD way. It's like they are out in the countryside, dancing through the grasses and playing and running through the grasses and playing and doing somersaults and playing and .... Incredible musicians. I compare all other Irish music to these guys. They are the best in my humble opinion. Okay, so I don't think there is anything humble about my opinions or I wouldn't have to say "in my humble opinion." :) Hehehe!
