wow that was crazy especially the play from 4:25-4:30 and the last play couldve been a td lol...guess that makes up for kordell stewarts hail mary a couple years earlier.
@DoctorP1 lol no he didn't. He was in the endzone when he lost the ball..just like Bob Griese said. Not that it matters. As soon as the ball touches the plane, it's ruled a TD.
I was at thr heartbreaker at the BIG HOUSE; and still never got over it. Worst was that we had endzone seats; and that pass by stewart came right at us....... I remember that the whole endzone kept yelling at the corners and safeties just to KNOCK IT DOWN.......
@YouCanCallMeAl1022 true it launched florida to #1 but florida lost to FSU at the end of the season....the only reason why florida even won the title is because arizona state lost to ohio state in the rose bowl....talk about needing help....
I was at all 3 of the M/CU games-'94,'96&'97. The '94 Hail Mary play happened right in front of me. M SHOULD have won that game, but Moeller played not to lose by just trying to run out the clock. After this game, I was right up against the fence slapping high fives with the M players as they came running off the field. About had my hand broke, they were so pumped up. Got on tv though.
Sadly we won't be seeing Michigan playing many road games like this anymore. UM's non-conf. schedule for the foreseeable future will be MAC team 1, Notre Dame, MAC team 2 and some other weak opponent always in Ann Arbor. Gone are the days of Michigan playing road games vs. Big 12, SEC or ACC teams. Not going to happen. It's down to money and filling that 110K stadium.
the athletic directors have to stop being pussies about scheduling the first few games. schedule a game against an sec team or big 12 team in the beginning. they were't pussies about scheduling conneticuit for basketball on the road and look what happened. they almost beat the #1 team...
I don't think I could have handled another one like that too, Keith!
The Hail Mary Game was my first time ever to Michigan Stadium for a game. That was a great game with a shite finish of course. I will never forget when Michigan came back to take the league the Michigan fans taunting the Buffs travelling fans with the overrated chant. Both teams were in the top 5 coming into that weekend. And of course we know the game finished.
If you think that's bad, I've been watching Michigan my whole life, actually went to Michigan for undergrad, but never went to a game (I had prior engagements every Saturday, so I couldn't). I finally got to go after I graduated, and the first game I got to go to was the App State game. Yuck.
I couldn't believe it came down to a hail mary again in this game. The whole time the ball was in the air, I thought to myself, "If the buffs complete another miracle hail mary, than GOD really does hate us."
I'm with you. My heart was in my throat the whole game and especially on that last play. That Hail Mary game that Colorado won in the Big House will haunt me for the rest of my life.
that was the second time i ever saw a Michigan game in it's entirity, was that game, i was eight years old. The only other time before that was when we beat BC i think.
These teams can now meet in the Rose Bowl

I'm sure this 1996 Michigan win over Colorado helped but I doubt it made up for the 1994 Hail Marry loss to Colorado

This was a schizo Michigan team- beat Colorado and Ohio State, but lost to Purdue and Michigan State.
And for whatever reasons, their annual Notre Dame game was not played that year.
chrisuncleahmad 2 years ago
Actually, they pounded MSU that year. But yeah, that was a strange team.

Once again, I as a Florida Gator fan was very happy the Blue won this game--it launched us to No.1 after the Buffs lost!

That's cool that you were at all 3 games. The teams actually played in 1974 as well with us winning 31-0.

I remember being at this game. It was my 2nd ever CU game.

Revenge is oh so sweet. We really took it to Colorado in 1996 and 1997 after the hailmary heartbreak in 1994. Go Blue!

oh give me a break. You would be out for blood to if your team lost a game thanks to a hailmary

That 1996 Colorado team was good. Plus they had really cool Uniforms that year also. However Michigan just kicked their ass.

It will haunt all of us. It also doesn't help that ESPN Classic likes to replay that game 900 times a year.
