Hmm...i think i kind of sing like you..... Theres not that much "power" and energy in my opinion? I'm having trouble releasing that energy too and making my voice sound strong and powerful.... :o It was a great cover though, i enjoyed it :)

Use a little reverb (convolution reverb I recommend), or more (if you have already) for your next covers, and some vocal harmonics in the background. Study the equalizer thoroughly, and do a meticulous work at the editing stage, and you'll have the legendary voice of major label artists. ;)
