poor direction? this is an improvement if anything. there is actual song structure, riffs that you can actually remember. its a mature effort from a band that has obviously matured as death metal musicians. the other albums got boring because the songs all melded together and that made most of it forgettable. this is catchy, brutal, and something worth listening to. i also fail to see hardcore in this. its more thrash and old school death metal than anything else.
