The sad thing is the writers and producers of good times always tried to tell a message. Is this the message ......dont get married because you will lose social security? Is that the reason that I have found that 16 black couples at my company are not married? They are all church going , heck even 5 of them are certified reverened. I think it is the im going to be a church holder ......pay very little to no taxes .......then collect social security while paying nothing toward it! eco 101 peeps.

To me I would never get married simply because I am bad at relationships so it would never last. Furthermore in a divorce you have to divide the property and a whole bunch of legal mess. A simple break up is less painful.
