Lord of the Flies was symbolic because it presented how if human kind was taken away from all technological machinery and goods, we would soon become savages. by setting children [children are the future] in a stranded island with nothing but themselves, William Golding points out that the world depends too much on technology and has forgotten the laws of survival.
