@emancoy, if the christers were to convert to islam, they would not need to go on TV to cadge the public for money. It would come flowing thru surreptitious channels from Saudi Arabia.
Firstly a big thanks for setting up and broadcasting the show as usual, and congratulations on successfully broadcasting the first MSS with a live audience.
I had kind of let the Sharia courts operating in UK slip to the back of my mind.
I have a mild seizure disorder. What happens during my seizures is a series of thoughts and images flow through my mind, accompanied by the most profound feeling of significance. At the time (and they last less than a minutes), it seems as if I am thinking the most important things in the world. Afterwards I can't remember any of it. If I didn't know better it would be easy to mistake for revelation.
@HConstantine However, I am also a classics professor and a specialize in ancient religion and philosophy, I have to say that while one could actually make a case for a seizure disorder on the part of Mohammed (probably because we don't know enough about him) , this phenomenon doesn't seem to explain that much about ancient religious revelation in general. There are well known psychological techniques that induce trance in anyone without a seizure disorder,
@HConstantine The experiences may be phenomenally similar (but not identical), and there may be similar processes in the brain (more work needs to be done ), the cultural context is very different. A mystical experience is something that is sought out by long practice, by someone who is deeply embedded in a theological tradition. It almost invariably confirms one;s beliefs. The fact that Mohammed (and Paul) had visions that overturned their beliefs suggests there might be something else going on
Random comment from TV- Daphne Moon's Mum on Frasier "If people got to decide things for themselves, no one would go to Church"

WTF? Islam is the fastest growing religion in America?
oh well, I can see it now, Christian evangelists converting into muslims, becoming Islamic evangelist, preaching on TV asking for money!
in the end, nothing really changed.

@emancoy, heavens forfend! I'll take the christian religiots over the muslim religiots any day of the week.... but I'd rather be shut of both camps.

I wonder whether Tzortzis or iERA will have the guts to face humiliation on the show.
I'm trying to get into a discussion with them, but they keep running and postponing.
