  • One word.

    Amazing.

  • I wish the girl I have feelings for understood If I were to send her manchester Orchestra lyrics, or brand new lyrics.

  • atleast twice a week you will find me belting this and many other manchester orchestra songs in my car. never get old.....

  • awesomeness, such a good rock band!

  • Keep giving up on music and saying the era of great music is over yet I keep finding badass band, so I guess not all is lost

  • 2:22 <3

  • @khalimadeath... nothing you said made any sense. congratulations.

  • Wait a second Andy, your god like voice came in a small brown paper bag? All I ever get from small brown paper bags on my porch is flaming bags of shit. : /

  • I LOVE THIS SONG :O

  • i cant understand why manchester orchestra hasnt made it big yet.... but i kinda like it because i feel like im the only one that knows how good they really are

  • @imdan1182 andy hull left.. he's now doing a solo project called "Right away, Great Captain!"

  • @Carsonx1416

He has had that side project going for a few years now. Didn't leave MO though.

  • @imdan1182 I think it's better that way. :)

  • @imdan1182 hipster

  • falling in love with this band...actually with andy hull!

  • commen misconception, If there was no evil the world would be only good witch would result in a numb lifeless pointless excistance, if there was no good then all would be evil and the same rule would apply. on separate note evil and good is in the eyes of the beholder. Stop harrasing atheists for our beliefs, or trying to convince us to be of your faith, if you really want us to "see god" try doing that through example not talk.

  • Oh and say anything sucked balls and there fans were lame ...and now manchester is going on tour with blink 182....wtf not good I am no one to criticize such talent for doing what they got to do but blink 182is kind of dated

  • Too the asshole that says say anything has better lyrics music whatevrr..i actually saw this band they went on before say anything they were fucking amazing...i agree with u on the elliott smith comment I listen to elliott for hours on end but um yea u think this bands not great go see them live same thing with brand new or bright eyes

  • Why as men do we always want to bring God into the discusion and start an argument??? Why not just close yours eyes and let a master composer's incredible music take you on a journey in your mind.....as good music should!

  • I might have liked this a hundred times. or more. poor facebook peeps.... i'm gonna get blocked for sure.

  • Since i found this song last week, i have not gone a day without listening to it 10-20 times a day. i cant stop.

  • wish i could have gotten to see these guys live today in Atlanta but guess ill just have to get my fix here on youtube.... ; (

  • This song sounds awesome live, when hull shouts the last lines!

  • " Virgin " is still the best.... i'm sorry

    thumbs who agree

  • @maxfilmfan if you ever see this song live (its completely different way longer more intense and emotional) it will blow your mind virgins a close second

  • 3:40 til the end. Over and Over again.

  • amazazazazazazing song

  • 9 people are idiots

  • I want to sing with these guys.

  • thanks for this...it's their best song and hard to find

  • @wubqueen i agree it's their best song, but it's really not that hard to find...

  • @wubqueen

There are some cool bootlegs of this kicking around on youtube with jesse lacey and kevin devine joining hull

  • This band is amazing live, dont ever pass up the chance to see them.

This man has so much heart.

  • i fuking love dis song over and over and over and over and over I rape the play button.

  • @dufferjp2010

    *fucking

    *this

    sorry, i couldn't fight the urge. :)

  • great night tonight

  • Indescribable.

  • manchester orchestra, comin to manchester (england) YES

  • so good so good so good!!!

  • no manchester orchestra, do NOT tour with Blink 182 :(

  • i want some pho

  • who is the babe at 0:49?

  • 9 people don't know where they've been =P

  • Quite some vocabulary going on, on these comments. :o

  • @Fuckofflahey1

Oh, I guess you did delete your anti-logical comment on page 2.

  • They call holidays an option for a reason

I heard you're coming back to life just for the fourth

I've been catching all your ghosts for every season

I pray to god you won't come back here anymore

do you pray with him, too?

They should deliver all my blessings

in small brown paper handbags near the porch

I wished I'd known that you were bleeding while I sat

and watched you reading with the lord

  • I read with him, too when you look at me I'll be digesting your legs cause I can hardly see what's in front of me these days and those days, too. I've got to take what I'm making and turn it into something I've got to take what I'm making and turn it into something for you I've got to break what I'm making and turn it into nothing I've got to break what I'm making and turn it into nothing for you God, where have you been?
  • I just was given an egagement ring back to me...this song put me in a better mood

  • Fantastic!

  • I know where God is.. he lives in Andy Hull's glorious face forest.

  • now i stumble upon them 2 months after they finish their tour with cage the elephant FUCK!

  • @ifitsnotrockandroll Not true, seeing them together tomorrow.

  • it's illogical...wow. anti-logical?

  • Freedom......

  • I just stumbled across this band....Not sure how long they've been around, but I'm so glad I crossed their path.....Awesome beautiful!.....

  • @dontneedjack same story here :)

  • i just teleported to a temple.

  • @iRACEmotocross247 i never thought to mix Manchester with Legend of Zelda. well played

  • Manchester's new album "Simple Math" is one of the best albums of the year! It's streaming online now, check it out!

  • @Fuckofflahey

And you might as well delete your comment because it is completely anti-logical.

What do you think brought about the world we live in, as we all know it, hmm?

Oh actually, wait, why don't we just abandon reason and logic? Yeah, we don't need them anymore, we have xbox live, netflix, "ke$ha", Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.

Yeah, how about we just start fresh? They'll be the people who lead, in place of the ideas of reason and logic.

Oh p.s,who is Lacey? H I mean Lahey?

  • @khalimadeath Well you see, Good and Evil apparently exist seeing as how we can all do good and bad things. The point is that if everyone wasn't a prick like you saying to delete comments, (because you're too dumb to understand it), the world would be a better place. I was simply stating that most people (if you're not a fucking idiot) can agree that there is good things and evil things in the world, which is common ground for all religions and even dickheads like you. Trailer Park Boys Mr.Lahey

  • [sigh].

Please don't feed the Plastic trolls, who write their names with ignorance [makes quotation marks with fingers] but yet somehow use words articulately, and by that I mean the second top comment. Thanks.

  • @khalimadeath Well said.

  • I've never been a religous person but let me set it straight for those conflicting with religious beliefs with this... Good is god. Even if there is no "God" we still have good. If we had no good, life would be hell. Evil is the devil, and if there is no "devil" there still is evil. If we have no evil, life would be heaven. If we didn't have evil how would we know good, So evil is good and good is evil. They coincide... Even if you don't believe in "god" believe in the good he represents...

  • @FuckOffLahey1 "What is done out of love takes place beyond the realms of good and evil" Depends whether you belive things are inherently good or evil or if good and evil are completley man made?

  • @FuckOffLahey1

    uhh I love you lol

  • @FuckOffLahey1 The fact that you have a sense of good and evil is a good case on the existence of God. There's some interesting arguments among other things by apologists such as C.S. Lewis( The author of "The Chronicles of Narnia", "Mere Christianity", Etc.). Look it up.

  • Comment removed

  • @FuckOffLahey1 Wow. You were really in the zone there - well said friend...

  • @FuckOffLahey1 Jesus christ, stop bullshitting.

  • @FuckOffLahey1 You contradict yourself. God represents good? "Good is evil"? God represents Evil? Let me set it straight with this... Pick any religion, it doesn't matter whcih one, pick the one that tells you there's a life after death, and if you live a good life, you'll be taken care of forever. Either that, or accept the fact that you're going to die someday, beacuse that's all religion is, some mental cruch to stop people from realizing how insignificant they are.

  • @Aulmeyda just as darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of god. significance is a measure of worth. worth is often given a monetary value, and money is the root of all evil. If you go through life worrying about your worth, you will find yourself in the dark. Instead of thinking about your life, live your life.

  • @MrChinchillen That is correct, worrying about one's worth is, well, worthless. We live in one of trillions of galaxies. The human race itself is just a day, a minute, a second in the life of the Universe. I could find the cure to AIDS, but that wouldn't mean anything in the long run, we'll go extinct, but the Universe will still expand. Not even God lives forever.

  • @Aulmeyda those aren't the only options. if you believe in a god you don't have to pick a religion, there are no rules for this kind of thing. believe what you believe.

  • @IWasAChildFly If you believe in a god, then you have a religion. It's like saying, "If you want to be Japanese, you don't have to be asian." It doesn't work like that. Of course there are rules. What else was the Bible written for? Recreational reading? According to the Bible there is only one true interpretation of God. Either you follow the rules to the letter, or forget religion, because believing in God in a false way is just the same as not believing at all.

  • @Aulmeyda i disagree. faith isn't about following what the rest of the world preaches, you can have faith that there is a god without having to follow anyone else's rules. who can say what believing in god "the false way" is?

  • @FuckOffLahey1 That was deep man, and straight out of Sunnyvale Trailer Park :D

  • @FuckOffLahey1 right on!

  • @FuckOffLahey1 very true. and classic username!

anyone can like what they wanna like, its based on opinion and this is a band that really sticks out among the not so heart felt music of today to make something incredibly heart felt. They are as good as several of those bands that you named

  • @Shanaman776 I said that in response to comments like "Brand New and Manchester write lyrics that make all other bands pointless to listen to..... I'll throw in 3EB and TBS as well, so these four bands are all that matter----" and "they are just sooo much better and different than anyone else."

  • they've been on AP magazine

  • put these guys on cover of rolling stone ther amazing

  • why fuck wasnt this band in the vmas

  • @guitarsfun cause they dont sing about materlistic things therefore they are not realatable to idiots therefore they dont sell mass amounts of cds. even though its better music

  • @guitarsfun

  • The last line, is it "God, where have you been?" or "Joy, where have you been?"

  • @Humithmu Sounds like joy but it is god.

  • @Humithmu Joy where have you been

  • One of the best songs ive heard in my life...

  • omg, i dont know about anyone else, but i just feel so inspired, i feel like ive wasted a lot of time on things that were so unnecessary, i could have totally done everything that i neglected...

  • That was the first thing I thought about too... OMG moment for me!!

  • 93logan they are good but have you heard the honorary title talk about emotion in a song or conor oberst aka bright eyes

  • @kevinLG1990 Conor obsert<3333 Bright Eyes is amazingly diverse.
