YOu have the perfect voice for this song, If you used a more varied strum it would have even been better. I am just learning it myself and you could do some guitar chucking (slapping) , bass run from G to E and learn the intro (i just saw someone teach it on youtube and it really didnt look that hard). Your version was excellent and your voice is perfect for the song. Should try other Van songs.
