I really like this cover. Sure, it's not the original, but it's still a good song. It's the kinda song you listen to while dancing around the house when alone.

This band was conceived with the goal of taking classic songs and making covers with a new style of French and Portuguese sound. They purposely found people who weren't at all familiar with the songs so that when they sang them the song would take on it's own sound. If you don't like covers then don't fucking look up Nouvelle Vague. People often say the same thing about All Along the Watchtower, but any truly honest person would admit that Jimmy Hendrix did it better.

If I want to hear the Buzzcocks version, then I will simply put the original LP and listen to the Buzzcocks themselves. But for variety sake it is really nice to see that Nouvelle Vague did honor this song with a really different interpretation...

And very important: Nouvelle Vague must be seen in concert to really appreciate how good their performance can be!
