i dont care who says what, but over throttling along with over stearing will result into what happens at the end of this vid. very similar characteristics of sand. "somewhat"...
please, if you get the time, check out the video i made about jeeps it's freaking AMAZING, you WILL NOT be dissapointed. i think it deserves more views!
snowstorms don't understand what to do with jeep drivers, so they quit trying altogether. Hi, I'm AJ and I'm a jeepaholic. I completely devoured 5 snow/ice storms this year, and I can't help myself. 2000 cherokee, 3 inch lift, 31 inch bfg all terrains.
@MaxPayne72 Man you are so right!!!! But, people should really keep this to roads where others personal property, like their masonry, or flower beds, or lawns, wont get damaged when you give it too much (and you will eventually)
But yes! This is such a good thing for anybody to do so that they know what they are dealing with, and how to respond to a situation like that (basically doomed otherwise) if it ever were to happen on say, icey highway or something. instead of panicing, you just react!
i wanna do this in my jeep so bad, gotta 96 GC with selec-trac 4X4, in jeep green of course and i couldnt do it last year when texas got a frickin sno storm cuz i was in a whole nother state...with little to no snow lol....pissed me off so bad.
The guy in this video must be giving his Jeep too much throttle to be slip-sliding around like that. My '96 Grand Cherokee cuts through 9" of snow like a hot knife through butter. I love my old Jeep GC. It's my daily driver and my go-anywhere anytime vehicle. Not too pretty but it's a tough workhorse with the indestructible in-line 6 cyl 4.0 liter engine. I'll always have Jeep in my stable from now on.
@JackKangaroo1 yeah completely agree. I have a 95 cherokee laredo and it does great in the snow unless i floor it like a dumbass without the 4wd on. The straight 6 has gotta be the best engine jeep has made, they go forever and are tought as nails; its a shame they stopped producing it.
@Simkafa I found out how tough that in-line 6 is two years ago. Water pump seized up on me on an interstate near Philly about 150 miles from home. Snapped the serpentine belt. I drove it for ten miles at about 260F, steam gushing out all over the place, till I found a hotel parking lot. Thought I'd destroyed the motor for sure. But a mechanic put in a new pump, new belt, and new radiator---steam blew seams out on the old one---and it runs fine. Cast iron block and head. Tough as nails.
wow thats a paradise for me i always wanted to live in a place exactly like that were is it Alaska??? and i haved a truck just like that same color and model hehehe
I did that the other week in my v8 grand cherokee and i can say drifting in the snow is the coolest thing about it. the quadradrive really makes doing that easy.
I have the same truck...geat in the snow...did you ever have a problem with the memory seats and mirrors changing positions and the cruise control rpm fluctuating?
Man that cruise control RMP shit scared the shit out of me I was just cruising along and it jumped to 3k rpm then settled and suddenly it went wide open up to 5k .
Is that an AWD or RWD?
