  • all the harmonies fine till the lame C major at the end

  • @jeppius

I liked the major chord at the end.

  • I have purchased the Harmony Improvisator, but why does mine look different from yours?

  • Where exactly can I purchase this product? I don't want the other stupid improvisator, I want this blue one, but I can't find this product anywhere. Where did you find it?

  • A picardy third!

  • this is motherfucking cheat. But god just being an expert on harmony is nothing. Creativity is more than this. Fuck you spend your years to practice music and anyone who doesn't know anything about music just clicks on buttons and the sun shines. Holy shit. Anyway, this is a good vst. At least it makes people interest in music.

  • @GorkemADR Your idea of music differs from alot of other artists views. This could actually be a usefull tool to help young minds better understand music theory and chord progression. One thing this piece of equipment will never do, is make someone famous, it is their creativity that takes them there, not their tools.

  • @JorgeL721 yeah you're right. My bad.

  • anyone knowa how this work on ableton ????

  • Can this work on windows XP and for FL studio???

  • @Phazeraw yes

  • can i make a song with this chord progression?

  • good for who doesnt know any musical note (anyone can create music with this)

  • Good program bro! Keep it the great work!

  • BUT MOTHERFUCKIN JEWTUBE DENY ME TO POST LINKS!!!111

  • CRAP!

I know better and more handy FREEWARE analog. It called "Tonespace"

  • @DETIVEPRI tks allot for the tip!!!

  • love this I was wanting something to help me find the chords I hear in my head. BUT I cant get it to work in REAPER! grrrr we need a STEP by step walkthrough

  • what is this program?

  • pinche perseo

  • Hello sir i am Using Cubase -5 and Hypersonic,i wanted to know how to hook up this Harmonic Improvisator in my DAW ,can i use the improvisator without getting KONTAKT software?

    Thanks for you valuable time...

  • how to record the notes?

  • @TranceDash, you just hit record in your DAW and the notes will be recorded as you play the Improvisator vst.

  • how to record the notes?

    @TranceDash

    With an ToothBrush!

  • @TENGOVIC this plugin cannot play the notes by itself! You need to link it to another VST - nexus or so and if you are using Ableton for example Change the Midi From to Improvisator in the Nexus Tab ;)

  • @TENGOVIC THX THAT HELPS :O !

  • the thing is i will not send midi out so dont think your going to be Bach

  • Hmm this might be great tool for learning chord progressions... so now you can orchestrate without knowing anything about chords - that is kind of sick (both good and bad) I think Orion from Synapse had something like this implemented too for their arpeggios - and that was years ago... it didn't have such a comfortable interface though

  • What is SP/dP/tP/.etc?

Is this a european system? I can't find anything on google.

  • @reddupo is armony improvisator

  • @teamsquad3

Yes I know that this is a harmony improvisator, I can read the title...

I'm talking about the notation of the chords. Since my comment I have found out that it is, indeed, a German system of notation. I was used to the Roman Numeral system.

    I now know that I = T and IV = S and vi = Tp

Now I just got to figure out what the other stuff means (Like a D wrapped in parentheses surrounded by 'v's and the number 46).

  • whats the program?

  • @j03tv it doesnt work on Cubase 5 64bit because it is a 32bit plugin and the VST Bridge of Cubase 5 64bit doesnt execute the Plugin properly.

  • @r2d2rx

so if I install Cubase 32 bit on a 64-bit computer, would I be able to use this vst? or do I need a 32 bit computer as well?

  • @HeavenFort it works on a 64bit OS with Cubase 32bit. I have Win7 64bit and both Cubase 32bit and 64bit installed. On Cubase 64bit it doesnt work, on Cubase 32bit it does.

  • @r2d2rx

ah thanks a ton man, and is installing both 32 and 64 bit will lead into problems for directories? or should I do a directory for 32 bit and 64 bit?

And one last thing, can I read files that were created on Cubase 64-bit on Cubase 32-bit?

  • @HeavenFort ofcourse you have to create seperate installation directories for 32bit and 64bit cubase. each installation directory will have it s own VST3 folder.

Cubase 32bit can open Cubase64bit projects and vice versa.

  • @r2d2rx

    Thanks ton dude.

  • hey this is good stuff

  • Sorry, I mean Windows 7 x64

  • Also, im running Cubase 5 x64, with EWQL x64, on windows x64. Hope this helps.

  • Hey "sedibhosrtbh".

    What host are you using?

I have Cubase5 and this VST isnt working for me. I have it set up from reading improvisator (dot) de, to output to EWQLSO and it just doesnt seem to trigger any kind of midi messages.

You have any info on how to make this work with Cubase 5?

    Thanks, much appreciated!

  • guau man fucking awesome

  • where we can download this????

  • anyone know what you do once u've created a bunch of chords?

(i've tried to find a "send to piano roll" type button but i can't find one, though i don't even know whether it works this way or not)

    help appreciated

  • @lancsFrogger hey man, just put it as an instrument in your software, set up the output for "midi out" and choose it as the "input source" in a midi track, like you would do with your midi controller. Then press record and have fun.

It works like this in Cubase and Ableton and should be similar in other programs too.

It´s a great tool for people who don´t know too much about music theory, it gives you suggestions and many options of chords to experiment..

  • @lancsFrogger Have you tried the Zoabis Chord Progression Software? It's much easier.

  • ok thx

  • The sound is simply made with HalionOne and a reverb. Thanks for your interest!

  • You can find more information on: cochleor com

  • i want the vst!!!

  • Wow, thanks for this. I have HI but have not used it yet or seen it in action but I know what it's supposed to do but I didn't know it was this cool.

  • I need to find a good harmony guitar pedel

  • Für die mit Fragen: es klingt sehr stark nach Symphobia von Project Sam

  • hast du project sam mal mit lass verglichen?

  • awesome...

  • Is there somewhere I can learn the translation of what this all means in American musical system?

I've never seeen any of these things before....

  • wow

with this and autotune and few more programs that will probably come out in a year who the hell needs to learn anything about music.

  • @reddupo I agree, it's sad.

Now there is a new program. For example, you recorded a guitar solo and you got one note wrong, the program can change the pitch of the note. Soon people won't even have to play instruments!

  • @FordyShan oh the humanity.....

  • @reddupo you're right :(

  • i love shit like this absolutely love it

  • im looking for the chorus!!!!

  • das habe ich überall gesucht!

  • omg wozu studier ich sowas eigentlich. o0

  • its realy a great vst and very important

  • What a tool you use????

    please reply !!!

  • its a harmony improvisator VST, a tool to play 4-note chords... it just sends midi signals to the port of your desire. so u can use any soft or midi-hardware synth with iot ;)

  • was ist das für ein instrument was du da benutzt

  • damn, thats good souding

i like how the interface looks

    from here at least

  • GoooD!

  • es la perfeccion. parece que vieras a dios

  • how do i get this to work with ableton live...

  • can somone help me how do i use this vstin cubase sx i carnt get any sound out of it

  • yes its a vst. You can use it with any program that can load VST's.

  • WHAT IS THE VSTI SOUND THAT USED WITH Harmony Improvisator VST

  • Beautiful song

  • hi you speak spanish? i need help with cubase and harmony improvisator. You can't help me please??

  • que problema tienes?

  • What's the instrument? or how is it called as a plug-in? :|

  • lol its the name of the video!!!

  • ayo wtf i only got the demo and still i cant even make one sound come out of it i use fl studios do u think u can help me out son if u can send me the real version i might hook u up wit some of my vst's or plug ins they are all clean no virus plzz reply back to me thank you

  • You can use the demo to make sounds as well. You have to link the Improvisator via midi channel to a synth. Set the out port of impr. to 2...and the inport of your synth to 2 for example.

  • maybe it's my eyes, but in the cicle of notes(i think it is) in the upper right hand corner to the left of the information bars, is that an "H" between the "F#" and the "E"??

If so, can someone explain why it is there? Cause to my knowledge of music theory, there is no note or key of "H".

  • Blue note maybe? I don't know much about blue notes, but that's just my unneducated guess. Haha. =]

  • In Norway we learn that H is B in school. Why I don't know, music theory is much easier to understand using plain letters from a->g

  • The "h" is a sloppily written "b".

  • That's because you're in Norway. So special oh....

  • In European (non USA/UK) system the notes chromatically go as follows:

    C, Cis = Des, D, Dis = Es, E = Fes, F = Eis, Fis = Ges, A, Ais = B, H = Ces

Of course, there are also double flat and double sharp notes (eg. Cisis is C# or Ceses is Cbb).

This is the original, German system - used by Bach and other great composers.

  • It sounds nice. But this isn't composition and those using it learns nothing about harmonics when everything is done for them, not choosing one note for yourself.

  • Could you recommend a good book about music theory?

  • anyone have a torrent for this vst

  • Yes it works in FL studio. Make sure improv (on left drop down menu of its wrapper) is set to send midi out.(checked off) Than go to the green port number on top right and set to port 1. Set vst of choice to port 1, and to recieve midi from the drop down.

  • I have this idk exactly what it does does it work in fl studio 7 or 8?/

  • U call that Composing?

  • and you guys, can you compose sounds like this for your own? whats the matter if you call or not call this composing? you like what you hear? then shut your mouth and listen to the beautifull armonic music

  • i can... but that's not the point. i'm just feeling sorry for orchestrators. studying the harmonic progression of chords and making it all by your self really gives you lot of freedom of creativity.

  • This tool can make harmonics but it does not understand music. There are other harmonic sounds, infinite numbers that only come from a real composer that technically isn't "harmonic" etc.

  • @InSaneTK blabla ... yes, and cows are blue, if they jump

  • think about it from a persons perspective who wants to learn how those crazy harmonic shifts work and how to work through key changes mid song. wouldn't this help them a ton with their writing... esp if they didn't use it as a crutch and actually began to understand the theory behind it. it seems like a great tool for those who want to learn or who are just beginning to learn

  • And then they call it composing ... :(

  • what does the letters mean? I know they are not chords.

  • thay are the cord names

  • lolpwnt

Tonic is I super tonic is ii etc etc

  • They are harmonic functions. No matter what the chord names are. If you are playing a "I-ii-V" chord progression in C Major(tonality)the chord names will be C, Dm and G, but you can transpose the chord progression to any other tonality, and the chord names will change...

    G Major: G-Am-D

D Major: D-Em-A ...and so on.

In a minor tonality fuctions will change their quality....

    G minor: Gm-Aº(dim)-Dm

  • Great tool!

  • You are right, they are not chords.

    But maybe they are chards?

(see "Wusik VST Tool - Melody")

  • Yay found the full version on some spanish site.

  • Comment removed

  • that is fantastic.

  • wah programs dah the proap actual name

  • Do I hear a miracle VSTi? :D

  • Very nice VST! But not so friendly interface... only for those who are very into Tonal Harmony stuff. Beginners are going to have some difficulties with it. You should do a simplified mode for beginners on Harmony ;-)

  • can any body make a tutorial for installing it on fl studio

  • The sounds are so raw and warm. Very bright sounding. Me Like! Me want! Me Get!

  • the outputted sound isnt harmony improviser, its whatever plugin you choose.. harmony improv just makes the chords.

  • Yeah, I figured that out after some research, but thanx for the info.

  • Me english!

  • nice chord progression

  • NVM.. im stupid... It says vst xD, and i jsut google harmony improvisator xD

  • from where did you get it... and is it a vst plugin so it can be used with fl studios or cubase or watever?

  • BRILLIANT!!!!

  • i have cubase how do you get it to woerk?

  • i got it working in FL STUDIO 7 XXL

  • how did u get it workin in fl studio thankz lemme know pleaseee

  • \Improvisator, MIDI OUT

    Then I can play it,

But, How can i generate midi notes in FL STUDIO?

It say put in rec and play notes but dont work.

    Please, help me anyone

  • I think its because u have a demo.

  • Won't work in FL Studio or any other VST Host that doesn't allow chainable VSTi's with another VSTi.

  • works fine in fl, us just got to know HOW :P

  • not true, FL Studio links through ports and it works great.

  • Was responding to guy who said it doesnt work in FL fyi

  • Hello again. I have this plug, i play in FL studio, la,la,etc

but I cant make midi notes for put them in tempo.

    Can you help me plz.

    A lot thanks.

  • fantastic plug-in, cant wait to get it! :)

  • will there be a version for mac osx? please!!

  • nice really nice

  • reminds me of atari hotbox ;-)

  • where's the demo?

  • torrent anyone?

  • lol can't find a torrent but this one isn't too expensive so you should probabally just try the demo

  • Does this plugin output the MIDI notes to the host application so that it can drive any other plug-in as the sound source?

  • yes. the exact description can be found on improvisator de

  • Hi Jonathan

    quick question

will this plgin harmonize around a midi melody

or does it only randomly generate chord progressions ?

    Best

    Midiscore

  • Hi,

no it does not harmonize a given melody or choose chords randomly. You have to develope the chord progression with the mouse and then you can arpeggiate it with the midi keyboard. But if you choose the key of your melody it is very easy to harmonize it by trying some chords...

    Best regards,

    Jonathan

  • Wow, what an amazing tool!

  • Sweeeeet, very interesting plugin. Is there a demo that I can try or only the mp3s?

I would feel more comfortable testing this out before placing an order.

Good work though! We need more tools of this nature.

  • Thanks! There is a free demo on improvisator de

  • Hey Jonathan, good work! It looks very promising!

  • Nice... BUT, with stuff this good, why not go to the extra effort to code in C++?

    Cheers

  • Thank you.

The Plugin is entirely written in C++.

    Best regards,

    Jonathan

  • Ahhh... my bad. That's very good news

I guess the look of VisualVox just gave me horrible thoughts of SE/SM.... bad mojo, ya know..... haha

Having said that, this one looks a lot nicer

So are you using VSTGUI or something else?
