Where exactly can I purchase this product? I don't want the other stupid improvisator, I want this blue one, but I can't find this product anywhere. Where did you find it?
this is motherfucking cheat. But god just being an expert on harmony is nothing. Creativity is more than this. Fuck you spend your years to practice music and anyone who doesn't know anything about music just clicks on buttons and the sun shines. Holy shit. Anyway, this is a good vst. At least it makes people interest in music.
@GorkemADR Your idea of music differs from alot of other artists views. This could actually be a usefull tool to help young minds better understand music theory and chord progression. One thing this piece of equipment will never do, is make someone famous, it is their creativity that takes them there, not their tools.
love this I was wanting something to help me find the chords I hear in my head. BUT I cant get it to work in REAPER! grrrr we need a STEP by step walkthrough
Hello sir i am Using Cubase -5 and Hypersonic,i wanted to know how to hook up this Harmonic Improvisator in my DAW ,can i use the improvisator without getting KONTAKT software?
@TENGOVIC this plugin cannot play the notes by itself! You need to link it to another VST - nexus or so and if you are using Ableton for example Change the Midi From to Improvisator in the Nexus Tab ;)
Hmm this might be great tool for learning chord progressions... so now you can orchestrate without knowing anything about chords - that is kind of sick (both good and bad) I think Orion from Synapse had something like this implemented too for their arpeggios - and that was years ago... it didn't have such a comfortable interface though
Yes I know that this is a harmony improvisator, I can read the title...
I'm talking about the notation of the chords. Since my comment I have found out that it is, indeed, a German system of notation. I was used to the Roman Numeral system.
I now know that I = T and IV = S and vi = Tp
Now I just got to figure out what the other stuff means (Like a D wrapped in parentheses surrounded by 'v's and the number 46).
@HeavenFort it works on a 64bit OS with Cubase 32bit. I have Win7 64bit and both Cubase 32bit and 64bit installed. On Cubase 64bit it doesnt work, on Cubase 32bit it does.
@HeavenFort ofcourse you have to create seperate installation directories for 32bit and 64bit cubase. each installation directory will have it s own VST3 folder.
Cubase 32bit can open Cubase64bit projects and vice versa.
I have Cubase5 and this VST isnt working for me. I have it set up from reading improvisator (dot) de, to output to EWQLSO and it just doesnt seem to trigger any kind of midi messages.
You have any info on how to make this work with Cubase 5?
@lancsFrogger hey man, just put it as an instrument in your software, set up the output for "midi out" and choose it as the "input source" in a midi track, like you would do with your midi controller. Then press record and have fun.
It works like this in Cubase and Ableton and should be similar in other programs too.
It´s a great tool for people who don´t know too much about music theory, it gives you suggestions and many options of chords to experiment..
Now there is a new program. For example, you recorded a guitar solo and you got one note wrong, the program can change the pitch of the note. Soon people won't even have to play instruments!
its a harmony improvisator VST, a tool to play 4-note chords... it just sends midi signals to the port of your desire. so u can use any soft or midi-hardware synth with iot ;)
ayo wtf i only got the demo and still i cant even make one sound come out of it i use fl studios do u think u can help me out son if u can send me the real version i might hook u up wit some of my vst's or plug ins they are all clean no virus plzz reply back to me thank you
You can use the demo to make sounds as well. You have to link the Improvisator via midi channel to a synth. Set the out port of impr. to 2...and the inport of your synth to 2 for example.
maybe it's my eyes, but in the cicle of notes(i think it is) in the upper right hand corner to the left of the information bars, is that an "H" between the "F#" and the "E"??
If so, can someone explain why it is there? Cause to my knowledge of music theory, there is no note or key of "H".
It sounds nice. But this isn't composition and those using it learns nothing about harmonics when everything is done for them, not choosing one note for yourself.

In European (non USA/UK) system the notes chromatically go as follows:
C, Cis = Des, D, Dis = Es, E = Fes, F = Eis, Fis = Ges, A, Ais = B, H = Ces
Of course, there are also double flat and double sharp notes (eg. Cisis is C# or Ceses is Cbb).
This is the original, German system - used by Bach and other great composers.

will this plgin harmonize around a midi melody
or does it only randomly generate chord progressions ?

Hi,
no it does not harmonize a given melody or choose chords randomly. You have to develope the chord progression with the mouse and then you can arpeggiate it with the midi keyboard. But if you choose the key of your melody it is very easy to harmonize it by trying some chords...
