@jsr5050 Good question. I was debating between the two myself when i was trying to decide between the two.
Series 40 is louder than 50. 40 has more rumble and sound more metal like than the 50. 50 has a nice tone, key word tone. If you want volume, go with the 40. If you want a nicer, deeper, tone then go with 50. Also, on the 40, when the engine is backin of in revs, it sounds more metal tin can than the 50, 50 has a good control with tone. After 20k miles my 50 has gotten slightly louder
@chrisparker2008 I'm pleased with my purchase, also turn downs vs goin out the back makes a difference in sound. The extra pipes and bends helps control the tone. Lil noise on the hwy. but when i punch it, everyone knows I have flowmasters. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!
i have an 03 z71 5.3 v8 and im still deciding either to get the super 40 or super 50. which would you suggest and why?
