  • They should really put up some live versions of these songs.

As much as I love their new stuff, I feel like they haven't done enough of their old stuff.

  • these guys are so goddamn talented.... When are they coming back form hiatus?

  • @alexpiscool100 apperently, not soon enough!!!!

  • Man. I love bloc party, but this song seems composed by a 8 year old kid.

  • I believe the chorus is also a prequel to the one in "So Here we Are"

    Incredibly similar in tone.

  • @analbino Same lyrics as well bud :) Took me a while but I realised...''I made a vow to carry you home if you fall sick if you pass out, I made a vow to rescue you if you're in trouble if you flake out!'' Pretty cool ay :)

  • i love this song

  • i still remember . . . when bloc party was THE fucking shit!

  • too kickass

  • the drumming is amazing in this song. actually not just the drumming, the whole song is just amazing

  • what album is this .. when it come out ..?

  • I would have tears of joy if they did this live and i was there

  • 0:36 the guitar there is definatly the one which russell plays in the video for 'pioneers'

  • やべぇ

  • ...but if it was a competition-Bloc Party would win

  • lmao i love thier EPs the most

  • brilliant song

  • damn great song and great pictures

  • i think this is from when they were known as the union

  • i think u are right because it´s not a silent alarm b-side

  • they are just so amazing!!!!

  • great song i haven't ever hear this until now

  • Cool.

I like the pic at 2:04

  • I love the drums in this song.

  • Bloc Party have an amazing drummer, so many off-beats

  • OMFG I WANT THE PIC AT 1:48 XD

  • wats the guitar at 0:33???

  • its the one russel has in the video for pioneers!

  • ik that i mean wat TYPE of guitar is it

  • as far as i know bloc party usually uses telecaster guitars.

  • they need to rerelease all of their old stuff and put it on an album called the bloc party EPs i think it would be good especially with new quality

  • Yeah I agree, they should do something similar to what muse did on Hulabaloo; a collection of B-Sides and EP tracks.

  • well if they did that bloc party's B-sides and EP tracks wouldn't be special :/

well yes it would be cool if you can get them in a cd or something but im trying to say is that, finding a rare song makes it really SPECIAL, a song that most fans dont know about :p, instead a cd of full rare songs..i'll be like just another oridnary cd.

  • very good point. but again still i would love these songs!

  • they shoulda added this as a bonus track or sumthing to one a their albums

  • lol Bloc party run tings

  • on which album can i find the song?

  • i dont think this song was ever released

its not on any singles, ep's, or vinyls

  • at the beginnig their are all the members but they forgett russell ;'(

    bloc party forever !! :)

  • I guess he was shooting the pics.

    Maybe. .3

  • maybe :D

  • Q rechimba de canción!!!!!!! fuckin bad ass song!! wow great!

  • this like the best song in da world

  • now i love bloc party but this song does sound they its half finished

  • this song really jus turned into "so here we are". these are the lyrics for this song: I made a vow to carry you home

If you fall sick, if you pass out

I made a vow to rescue you

If you're in trouble, if you flake out

its just changed a bit for "so here we are".

  • yop

  • Some awesome photos there

  • theyre really sick actually. where did you get them from?

  • they so badly need to do a compilation album with all b sides and rarities on.

  • they did! except i don't think this songs on it :-/ but the likes of version 2.0 and stuff are on it. You can buy it in hmv and stuff if you can find it!

  • @12YearsofNight You were never so damn right, Buddy !

I definitely think that B-sides should ALWAYS find their place in a discography as a compilation, together with covers ! These sometimes are too underrated, but yet definitely hold many gems within...

A great friendly shout to all BP fans outta here !! & massive thx to BP themselves !

  • @12YearsofNight they made a compilation album of all the AWITC b-sides

  • @patrickjackson93 whats it called??

  • @ademb13 i believe it is called 'Another Weekend In The City'

  • @12YearsofNight yeah.. they hav so many non-album songs.. that are amazing.

    :)

  • @12YearsofNight the good about that is that it would be 2 cds pack full of songs.

  • i never realised some of the vocals from so here we are were in this earlier song

'i made a vow to carry you home, if you fall sick if you pass out'

    bloc party <3

  • i can play the drums in the beginning on my keyboard :]

  • those drums at the begining are well good

  • bloc party's drummer is a god

  • i ll see them in tempe tomorrow!!! best band ever!

  • it's all about the b-sides fo sho! for anyone in LA, they are coming next week! i'm telling everyone! gonna be at club nokia, downtown right by staples!

  • Where can I get all these non-cd songs?

  • I think you can get them on iTunes, I'm not sure though...

Don't go limewire, support Bloc Party!

  • excellent!

  • that technique with the quick bass and snare at the start was pretty amazing

  • Yeah, their drummer Matt is fantastic. Check out "Helicopter" live, he's amazing.

  • I've seen that song, its also good, nice to see songs that test drum skill properly

  • these pictures are greeeat

where did you get them from??

  • wow the opening drum line is phenomenal

  • once again great drums

  • 2003 seems so long ago now - great first effort!

  • nostalgia

  • i agree!!

  • I second that!

Or at least make them available for sale on itunes or their website...

  • i saw them live on august 6th, webster hall, incredible show, gordan wasnt there though, with his wifes baby and all, but the replacement guy was good, kele crowd surfed(which i got to support him in)

  • i saw at the HOB in chicago, utlimately the same as your experience, Danny Boy the bassist performed well above par, my bro shook kele's hand, and of course i supported Kele surfin. They played "Once and Future King" and the crowd went buzzurk.

  • wich brand is the drum kit?? dw, pearl? please i want to know

  • he always uses pearl.

  • woah :S

i dont think the u.s aprreciate them more i think they proabably do the same but i still feel there more of a cult in the uk and i think thts good.

  • I agree with you on the point that the mainstream in the UK legitimizes the band in contrast to their footprint in the U.S. which will gradually make its impact as they are still marginally recognized over here. I'm an American and I absolutely adore the Bloc, in fact I'm seeing em 3 times in the next 60 days, it's going to be the "Bloc Trifecta" so to speak...

  • yeah exactly, but i still think theyre only just becoming tht big i still like to think there indies best keopt secret lol:D

but yeah they do seem to be getting more recognition now. and cool ive never seen them live but have alsways wnatyed to ;)

    have fun lol:D

  • they are the best band i have ever seen live. last year at reading fest they blew mw away!

  • i saw the Bloc live at the House of Blues Chicago, my bro shook Kele's hand, what a night

  • ooooooooooooooooooooh im so jealous

  • im in love with this song weeoooohooo

  • I change my mind, this song has grown o nme.I was trippin' t he whole song is Bloc goodness! Fucking beautiful song!

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song never fails to get me hyper. and that, in my opinion, is a great song.

  • fuckkk. i cant stop listen to it ... !

  • I think it isn't all that great at 44seconds. but overall the song is the usual Bloc Party:

    Kick ass music!

  • Yeah, i dont like the whole slow down bit

  • I love this song, I feel exactly like the lyrics. Exactly.

  • Probably one of there very best songs, old but kick ass !

    gj creating this :)

  • fucking love this song...

way under apreciated in the us of a

  • I think the USA appreciate them more than the UK sadly....

  • Good pics:1

  • Awesome pictures :)

  • This is a good song wish they played it

  • Hi, I think this is the only Bloc Party song I don't have... and it's quality! Where did u get it from? Cheers

  • It's old...really old.

  • What a song, what a band!! why cant they make more songs like this, instead of that flux shite.

  • The fact that they can churn out something like that "flux shite" goes to show they can jump around differeng genres. Otherwise, they just pump out the same shit that everyone gets bored of and BP will just die out.

  • haha! 2:02! i didn't know that gordy's actually in some g-unit gang!!

  • this vid makes me wanna start a band and tour the world lol

  • great pics.

  • no he's wearing a funny red nose xD

  • Is Russell wearing glasses at 0:29?

  • THIS is the Bloc Party I like! Much better than the last album. ciao Sieg

  • awesome but too short.one of the best band of the world

  • THe best video ever seen.

  • I Have This Song Its Like Ny Favorite Song.

  • wicked vid. They should make one for skeleton.Or is there one?

  • is this a b-side or a new song i aint heard it before but i'd like to get it.

  • this is b-party's first song ever recorded...but sadley they didnt release it.

kele ended up using the lyrics as a back up for "Here We Are".

  • It's such a good song too. I wish they would have released it.
