Awesome video, I never would have thought of something like that. One question though, when you installed the BNC connector, why didn't you use the twin lead? isn't it a lower loss cable than coax? Still a great concept and a great video. Thanks for sharing
@kc0zvr well it may be! who really knows! i had a few small pieces of RG-8minfoam here and used it instead of just tossing it! it is really up to the builder what they want to use, what i did is just a suggestion of what you can do with little or no parts! i could have even kept the switch and build a antenna tuner inside the housing as well, i did think about it while i was modding this thing! tons you could do with these!

Very cool!! I see these antennas all over in the Salvation Army, Goodwill, and other thrift stores for pennies on the dollar!!
