@2467mdougl ..Some parents are proud if their small children can understand Calculus or know how to recite the works of Shakespeare..but you're proud that your child appeared in an advert for a Supermarket? I suppose that is the Britain we live in these days.
@Dungarth I don't know 2467mdougl, but i do agree with his comments, you are a bit of a precious little prick hiding behind a keyboard making snide comments to people who would likely kick your teeth in if they got a chance to meet you. But then i doubt you have the guts to say these type of things to real people, better to take it out on strangers from the safety of your mothers basement on a windows XP laptop huh
@lndac02 ...Why would he have to kick my teeth in? Does the truth hurt? I never made any threatening comments towards him or his tragic offspring. Re-read my comment again. The fact that him & you have to resort to foul language in order to make a point really speaks volumes.
@Dungarth Your snidey comment drips of sarcasm, the guy was proud of his son for doing something out of the ordinary, you like the rest of us come on youtube to view video's. you piss, you shit and one day you will die. So stop trying to feel superior, you just come across as a asshole, you are neither humorous or entertaining.
@lndac02 ''something out of the ordinary'' his son appeared on a cheesy commercial for a Supermarket..that is hardly finding a new extract of the Dead Sea Scrolls is it? I didn't make that comment to feel superior..to me it just highlighted the tragic flaws in modern day parenting in Britain.
@Dungarth Your cynicism is a great British tradition that also needs curtailing. He was not asking you to compare his son being on a "cheesy" TV commercial which you had gone to the trouble to come on Youtube to view with the dead sea scrolls. You just thought you would sneer. what have you done to set the world alight? Nothing I would imagine, just sitting in the dark and making immature and unfunny comments about about a man who was proud of his son for acheving something. Those that can do..
@Dungarth I never usually get drawn into these you tube
arguments but as a children's agent and parent to one of the Morrison's kids I couldn't let it go. Firstly we are all entitled to our opinion however the misguided rants of an angry individual need to be addressed.
contd :I do feel child actors get bad press, children who enter this very competitive industry do so at their own will, should you ever experience the casting process it is clear to see the children who are forced or do not want to be there will not get selected would you have the same problem with kids who attend soccer academy's or are upon at 6 am every morning to train for swimming galas or indeed all the other endless activities children do ......
@act2dramaschool Contd part 2 I think not. Yet its easy to have a pop at child you do not know who has worked extremely hard to secure a job be it in a feature film, TV series or indeed a supermarket. Children who enter this industry in my opinion are well mannered well educated individuals who get the chance to experience situations they will treasure for life along private tutors who believe me make sure they know all about Shakespeare and calculus.
You talk of the Britain we live in, what's that exactly one where a trumped up snide little individual can make sweeping generalisations about people and children they do not know. So rather then spew bile on here why don't you do something worth while and let it go ! Please do not respond as I am not prepared to get involved in some adolescent trolling session . I thank you and goodnight xxx
"Worrying in a different sense is the Morrisons Christmas ad, which depicts Freddie Flintoff, whoever he is, building a supermarket and claiming that when they see the range of goods he's got on offer "people will come – people will definitely come". That's an alarmingly low sexual threshold right there. I've been impressed by an aubergine in Morrisons, but not once have I felt like coming."
People moan about the recession now, but I remember the dark days of Xmas 1944. We were being invaded from all sides- the Red Army to the East (raping & killing thousands of our womenfolk in their wake), Britain & US to the west & raining lethal bombs on us from above.
We enjoyed festivities as best we could, praying that our glorious Fuhrer would deliver us from the abyss. Still, the horror of death touched every family. At least we knew we could blame the filthy Jews for our misfortune.
..One good thing about this advert is that it refuses to satisfy the token smiling immigrant quota that is so readily shoved down people's throats EVERYDAY. But that is the only good thing about this advert.
i was there in kingston! we wasn't allowed to walk through the market square cos we were in shorts & t shirts - i missed out on a good cameo role! lol!!
i wish our ads would stop putting british infront of everything since when did we import our veg and beef?? it's always been british it's just now ads use that fact to help sell there product but tbh i'm sick of hearing it on literally every food ad
I agree with previous comments about Kingston looking Christmassy.
The ad was filmed during the heatwave at the end of September, so while the film crew and passers-by were all in summer clothes, spare a thought for the actors/extras who were sweltering in fleeces and woolly hats!
lol i work in morrisons and have just been given a lovely warm fleece to wear!!!!!! wow too hot ...running around all day sorting out problems ..nice fleeces though morrisons have spent a lot on them
Thanks to KeeperofPorridge I expect the face of the old man to pop up at the end saying "Jokes, jokes, jokes, JOKES!" Such a pathetic ad...
