I played "Cantaloupe Island" for my jazz and must I say I will be suggesting this song!

This was the first concept of "free jazz" I was able to wrap my head around...they were trying similar things with Miles, like in Orbits. I love the section started by the bass playing harmonics (5:02 on)

Great music making..And all from such a little compositional idea..I guess he told the guys to play off those first few bars and just let it go where it wants..What a musical journey..
