What Kucinich, Ron Paul and I say is not that Iran SHOULD own nuclear weapons but that their decision is rational since we included them without good reason in the axis of evil, invaded a country right on their door step and then immediately threatened them with war. We overthrew the only democratic leader they ever had and propped up the brutal Shah! Bush's desire to pre-emptively eliminate one FALSE nuclear threat accelerated Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, as a deterrent to us.
So you feel the current Iranian leadership is.....democratic?! LOL Ok. Who held civilians for over a year? Who sponsors those who target women and children all through the M.E.? Who kills their own on the streets? Axis of Evil, um yeah, it applies.
When I speak of illegal war, I speak of Dubya illegally taking us to war with iraq without a declaration as mandated by the law of our land which Bush claimed to be above in the name of pre-emption. I am speaking of Dubya killing tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians and killing more Americans than Bin Laden did all for the lies he spread that Iraq had WMD, was behind 9/11, was an imminent threat and was planning to attack us. All of which were proven beyond all reasonable doubt to be false.
Yes Saddam invaded Kuwait. Your way of thinking would have allowed Saddam's troops to rape Kuwaiti women and steal their property. You would be OK if Saddam had armed up with nuclear weapons (because we have them) right?
And I could say your way of thinking was to kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians and 5000 americans on false charges all for the agenda of American hegemony over the ME and its oil...
False statement. Coalition soldiers NEVER killed tens of thousands of Iraqis, but their own have made a "choice" to do so! They are free to "choose" good or evil, much like women in the USA responsible for "choosing" to kill 14 million babies.
@CarribeanBeachbum06 Excuse me? Coalition forces haven't killed thousands of civilians? The number's approaching 1.2 million, while your head is in the sand.
And your rationale is.....they're Muslim, so they chose evil, and deserve their schools bombed?
When you get over your ignorance and racism, try visiting the Middle East. Just once. It's clear you never have, and have no clue other than some Fox-news blurbs to form your 'opinion'.
Dennis Kucinich is going to look pretty stupid if Iran pops up with a nuclear weapon. I believe they will and the news today agrees. Some will give up World stability for the empty offer of "Peace". We have traveled down that path and found War. Dennis is wrong and if Iran attacks Israel we will all realize how stupid all his talk sounds. No one wants war with Iran but they must be responsible to avoid their demise.
Why? Truman didn't invade the Soviet Union when it became known they might be seeking a nuclear weapon.
You know what?
The Soviet Union didn't attack us once they did get a nuclear weapon and they were much more powerful than Iran and hated us just as much if not more.
What would be stupid is to pre-emptively invade Iran on another fraudulent WMD crusade. Iran hasn't the power to threaten us over here. Keep shaking in your boots about a third world country.
Mongoose, I say this with respect but you are, in my opinion WAY naive to say Iran will never be a threat to peace. I will give you the point that maybe they will be great neighbors, but I am doubtful. When we let them arm up with the most powerful weapon known to man, then what?
Fear not then because I didn't say anything remotely close to "Iran will never be a threat." I am not omnipotent nor will I ever see all ends. In such case I will side and strive for peace and so should our nation, war being an option only after all others are exhausted AND when we have been directly and credibly threatened or attacked.
If we are directly attacked, we respond with TOTAL MILITARY COMMITMENT with TOTAL VICTORY being the only option. That's what our founding fathers wanted.
In fact I would take it further as I believe in the case we were directly attacked that we would see the total commitment of our society to defending our nation. Reagan said PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH and I agree. He didn't say PEACE THROUGH PERPETUAL PRE-EMPTIVE WAR against imaginary enemies that are not a threat or might become a threat in some conceivable future.
Saddam was not a threat to US, the United States nor could he have posed any credible threat to us. His army was 1/5 the size it was in 1991. He had no navy and no air force.
Saddam did not attack us.
Saddam did not have WMD and had the absolutel most crude of programs. All evidence point to the fact he complied with UN mandates.
The no fly zones were NOT MANDATED by the UN.
Any WMD he had in the past were given to him by the United States.
Hitler started out as no threat also. Good people ignored the threat because they desired ...PEACE. You know the result. Saddam equally was a threat to all who want Peace. Let me know what he contributed to the World other than rape and war? You know he would have re-armed.
Let's talk Iran. Kucinich supporters have said they believe Iran should own nuclear weapons because...."we have them". These same people claim they want a peaceful world but stand for nothing. It is like saying you are for ending Global Warming ...but shrug, we pollute so why shouldn't they?
It perhaps is not "fair" that a handful of nations own Nuclear weapons, but that is reality. ADDING every other nation so the World is lined with radioactive bombs is anything but a setup for a PEACEFUL future. Why do I have to be alone in that thinking with Anti-War folks?!
If we invaded Syria and removed their leader just because we ....thought he was up to something, I would agree with you. If Syria had started a war, lost it, and then flipped off everyone daily, they would have what they had coming in my view!
The Soviets were a threat as any incident could have been misread into a MASS killing. Likewise with Fundamental Islamic Nations. Even more scary is they could (or have others) destroy us like they sacrifice themselves to Allah because they believe we are Satan. Add Nukes to that mix!
He won't look as stupid as the neocons who said that Iraq had WMD, had an advanced nuclear program, was an imminent threat with a military as strong as ever, was behind 9/11, sponsored global terrorism, and that the war would be paid for by oil. Those who did will forever smolder on the ash heap of history as the infamous cabal that destroyed Americas credibility and murdered more than Osama Bin Laden did.
President Bush had Saddam on violations and added intel (wrong or not) to the prosecution. Saddam could have easily defended those accusations by FULL compliance. He didn't, and was ousted. It is pretty simple and was correct.
Any reason is to why they would use nukes at this period raises enough common sense;
1. They know that if they sent a ground invasion there would be massive casualties on both sides
2. Iran isn't Iraq or Afghanistan which were ironically under crippled and collapsed organisation, Iran is fully functional and capable of warfare and you know it so dont bullshit yourselves
3. They don't fucking care!
This isn't war now, but a systematic slaughter, your tax dollars go towards blood money
That is such a brilliant analogy. That has been the Bush Administration strategy - that of the incompetent chess player; taking direct, destructive moves without thinking about the repercussions. That's a perfect way to explain it..
We have Criminals in charge of our government. Kucinich is the person will lead the US backto its true values of liberty and justice for all. A real world leader. Lets use our power andinfluence for that instead of death and distruction.
Gabriel did his job! Christ (the word) was ignored and Christianity became a perversion because no one listens to Christ's teachings at all!
The Jews are the sons of Jacob who was a liar and deceiver! He stole Esau's birthright that was why God named him Israel, which means he who struggles with God!
Jesus and King David were not Jews from Jacob's 12 tribes but Moabites! Read the book of Ruth.
obaidkarkl aka yaamahdi, what? You need ot post on dual accounts so as to give yourself more seeming credibility. You even post a comment then commend it with the other account. What a low-life. This is one for the books. LOL. Islamic Shariah rule is truly afraid to come out into the light.

To make a comment with one account and then to come backing that person with another account is juvenile and misleading. But what would anyone expect from a paid islamist who insists there are no human right issues in Iran. Which was an incredibly ignorant stupid thing to insist on.
What other account names might you be willing to share with us?
All people do that kind of stuff. Especially religious people toward other religious people. I heard that Kansas and Missouri went to war once. I think it might have been about whose grass was greener.
Oh yeah! Well the United States has the ability to wipe out all its enemies plus civiliation in less than an hour. Argue with that! It's kind of a new thing; instead of mutally assured destruction, it would be other people's assured destruction.
We need to step up to the plate and help, a mere 50 bucks will help him stand up against Hillary and others who have tons of cash and only want the office for their egos.

Furthermore the UN rejected the invasion of Iraq. Even Daddy Bush acknowledged that UN regulations forbade us to invade Iraq.
Dubya is on record for saying we had to stop Saddam before he got nuclear weapons. There is the pre-emption.
We falsely accused Iraq and killed thousands in the name of those lies. We propped Saddam up in the first place.
In the end all you have is: He "invaded" Kuwait. Sorry but that doesn't justify our President illegally taking us to war with them.
