Interesting thoughts, I find myself in denial over my boyfriend who I dont trust and it can be very comforting. But it never works for long because I hold truth above comfort ( at least within my own head) and cant tolerate the thought of living a lie. But that doesnt last long either as its to painfull so I get back into denial. Maybe what youre talking about is forgiveness and acceptance not denial.
