@efastMixer 1. could probably low-season. 2. it's all-business-class flight so it cost about $7500 and up. Usually it's full during holiday season for sure.
SQ doesn't seem to be making a lot on these ultra long haul flights. The lack of plans to increase frequency, among other signs shows going ultra long haul with a capacity limited plane is a dead ender
That's the reason why i don't go to the COmfort room while flying! Irritating sound of the flush :)) Its a weak market if you fly all business to Asian destinations. :D
i can see that the flight is empty...Singapore Airline A340 is most for a business people it most transport business workers or rich people or people that can afford to pay the amount to take A340.. :)So i think the flight must be empty
No, they're in flight alright. Normally, this ultra-longhaul flight is pretty full. Actually, when SQ began this service, SIN-LAX and SIN-EWR, they offered a Business Class and an Executive Economy Class cabin for a total of 188 seats. Eventually, the service became so successful and profitable that Executive Economy was taken out altogether . From what I've read SQ still has no trouble filling up these flights. This video must have been from one of those rare lightly loaded flights.
Never seen an all-business class plane before. It looks kind of epic. Not just because it's all business, but also because the seats and PTVs look huge as hell...
this is no doubt the best seat configure of all airlines.. but, this is risky action as all-business-seat-class will left the load factor of the entire flight to be half empty.. result shown above, ayt?
@blackuzco Singapore knows what they're doing with this route actually.. they opened this route with this aircraft because they noted that a lot of business travelers needed the service, the aircraft is usually well packed. It's like that one 737-700ER chartered by a large airline, who's name escapes me, to fly XLR routes.
@sealalula not every day flights are full. I flew to Singapore last year using this exact class and condition was pretty much the same like in the video. this route's potential customers are def business ppl like entrepreneurs who's pretty busy already with their schedule. consider it's just 18 hrs w/out stopover, then this is a very money saving route.
@wannamlwithu This was a clever idea to get around the A340's limitations as a fuel guzzler. One person in the WSJ described it as "a flying tanker with a few people on board". I will admit that this is a clever idea. They were stuck with a lemon, they made lemonade :)
thanks than first, premium class exist, like this, when an plane crash, at least 260 ppl will die, but in the past, when no FIRST CLASS, they can put more than 400 passenger !!!!!!!!! so imagin the death casualities bye
Its doing pretty well on the Newark and JFK route. The loads are usually full. I think like what XXquiker said, this may have been a trial flight to Jarkarta.
on the contrary the polar route to EWR and the trans-pacific flight to LAX on the all-biz A340's are doing QUITE WELL. .. on another note...that flush button is the same as they have on the A380 :D

This SQ Airbus 345 use to fly from LAX to SIN directly and it had first class and economy class and it was amazing and now SQ is crap because the rich people have complained about having to fly with the economy class on this flight now SQ has made it into an all buisness class... and it pisses me off SQ has dropped from #1 to # 4...Promises of SQ is crap so basically now I have to fly with SQ from LAX @ 1pm to NRT to SIN arriving at 1am and wait 7 to 8hrs for flight to CGK @ 8am...sucks
uh do you even know what your talking about? "SQ is crap because the rich people have complained about having to fly with the economy class on this flight". That is not the reason why SIA converted it into an all Business class product. SIA rely on the Premium cabin for profits and the yields and loads in Executive economy was always below compared to the full loads in J-Class. SQ like any other airline is a Business and if you think they are crap, try MH or CX.
Excellent video, 5 stars...thank you for posting. Saw these seats so far only in videos about bigger planes. Very impressive what they did to an A 340..very impressive..just a 1-2-1 seating...amazing..other airlines should have a look at this example
well SQ has always sent the A345 to Jakarta. It gives it more time in use and fits in well with schedules. But I'd be surprised if they would still use it on that route now that its all J.
why so empty?

I'm saving up for that. I started last week. So far, I have $20 saved up. At this rate, I'll never get there... Too bad. I still want to go on it.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
Why do we love flying and being in the sky? What is so amazing and enjoying about air travelling that make us flying over and over again?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!!

This flight is empty man. Kinda kewl having these all buisness class planes flying around these days.

How did they allow you to use a camera
Kommandant0 2 years ago
Everybody can....
A camera doesn't have a signal that can disturb another important signal to the plane, so it's safe to use......

What is your occupation/age?
Charlie1821 3 years ago
I used to fly this route twice a year back in college to visit my parents.
I cannot express how awesome having this flight as an option was. Especially when flying from Florida to Jakarta, it was a breath of fresh air.
Charlie1821 3 years ago
this I suspect is from SIN-JKT or vice versa
buckeyestate 3 years ago
All business class service is exclusively on the SIN-EWR and SIN-LAX route
S7r0ng3r 3 years ago
This is not to CGK right? This is either EWR or LAX. Cabin is empty, I guess they are not selling well in this route.
1504hokki 3 years ago
All Business class services only ply the SIN-LAX and SIN-EWR route.
I have a feeling this service will get more popular by the end of the year, since Business travelers might be put off by the higher price.
S7r0ng3r 3 years ago
1:04 , if you look really closely, u can see JKT

Hmmm! Thats interesting! From what I see in their website, they only ply the SIN-EWR and SIN-LAX route. I wonder why they're heading for JKT?
