I went and looked it up, and apparently, everyone was wrong. Kendricks did refuse to do the show, but because he was trying to convince the others to strike against Motown and they would not. He apologized for missing the show and survived being fired like Ruffin was.

Kendricks was let go (though the parting was somewhat mutual since he didn't want to stay) in late 1970 after walking out on a series of Copacabana engagements. He stayed around long enough to finish "Just My Imagination".

I saw them do this live at the Motown Revue at the Fox New Years Day 1969. I thought there was something wrong with this video. I didn't know Otis had such a high voice-no one looked like Eddie-there was someone missing-messed with my head for a second. Thanks you all for clearing my head LOL! It was MUCH more impressive with the whole line-up LIVE at the Fox. That BIG glittering disco ball above them did somethings for a starter (O:

@MsRobinsworld yea Otis sung his part in this video....there is supposed to be 5 Temps but its only 4..y Eddie wasn't performing i have no idea
