The one thing I think people misunderstand about the whole maturity and not being a child anymore thing is that you never grow up. You'll always be a child. Maturity is only learning when and when not to be immature, so understand now that that moment where you find someone that won't judge your innocent, playful, childish side is whenever you can be a kid again. Until then, work for the moment where you won't be judged. It'll be worth it in the end. :)

@Brian93TM It's not that it "magically ends" on your 18th birthday. It the fact that you'll be constantly bombarded by the issues of the world and the issues of an adult. Bills to pay, things to go to, college loans that need to paid off, never having enough money... the stress factors in life. But maybe I'm just looking at the glass half empty.

Anyone know what song was used in Friday Night Lights thew pilot ep during the end scene when Coach Taylor is visiting Jason after the op? They also play that same music earlier in the ep when the kids are with the senior team at school. I got the Friday Night Lights album by Explosions in The Sky but couldn't find that tune on there at all.

Life will, by definition, suck for awhile.
Once it gets better, and you can finally retire or something, you - just as everyone else -

Don't worry... I would only go to 1 day a week when I was in highschool... but now I'm at UC Davis... good school. Still don't know a damn thing about what's gonna happen though... Don't fret so much, all will work out in the end.

more then anything would i love to live in NYC and jsut be surrounded by the large buildings and city life, and maybe even make something of myself there.
i'd rather be happy and live in a studio in the city, then working 14-16 hours a day, making a 6 figure salary, living in a multi-million dollar apartment looking down on the city in the financial district and being alone.

everybody i respect your opinion but i don't agree with it. As we age on, we must keep the spirit of youth in us. I don't ever want to become my dad with his idea of fun is socializing. I want to surf, skate, snow, and bball. You choose how life goes and you won't feel time is going fast as long as you incorporate youth in you.

It's a difficult but wonderful transition. The spirit of youth is still in me--I definitely feel it when I'm on the playground w/the kids I baby-sit, lol!

I work at a summer camp, for this very reason. Children are so so, beautiful. And this song definatly goes through my mind when I have to watch them swim everyday. Life is so simple. I want it all back.
