(TYVM besieged for that) *Full AF *NQ light staff *Beak Necklace *Staff Strap *Red Cape +1 *Antivenom Earring *Insomnia Earring *Powerful Robe
(Not like those were needed for the fight but I am just trying to show you that you don't have to use any meds or buy any special equips for this fight.)
Be sure to buff at the start with Afflatus solace, blink, stoneskin, protect and shell IV.
@janeash Sweet :P sounds like I should be able to then even though I haven't gotten around to an HQ light yet (I do have loq. earring for a bit faster casting and serket/ether for more mp or jelly ring for a tad less dmg though) just got Bst to 75 last night too so that's another one lined up (I was mostly just looking forward to wearing my haidate +dusk+1 on bst as well lol I don't think I'll even use it much)

I used an apollo's staff (hq light staff) which works just as well as a neptune staff.
Equipping WHM AF body gives you +10 enfeebling skill and AF legs give you +15 Divine magic skill. If you have either a spider/enfeebling/divine/ torque for your neck, that works well also.
If repose fails then try to have a back up plan and bring some def gear and tank him for a while till you can try again. Running in to the BC without any buffs is risky so take care.
So the WHM goal is to simply live a certain amount of time - not take so much damage and live nor inflict damage. Cool!
My enfeebling is cap + 3 merit upgrades. My Divine is "low" (WHM level 69), so it has a ways to go.
Sounds like getting the testimony is harder than fighting Maat! LOL!

lol the best advice to you for capping your divine skill is to attend as much besieged as possible and you would be shocked at how fast it goes up. Spam Flash, Holy, Banish 1-3 as well as Banishga 1-2 and you will gain at least 2-3 lvls in one session without resting because your giants drink, wizards drink as well as all your ethers and mega elixers are usually replenished before your mp runs out.
I really wish Repose would have been around when I had to fight the old man. Your method looks at lot more entertaining than standing there getting the snot beaten out of you! Great job! -Sifridus of Cerberus
Yeah me too because I originally beat WHM Maat at lvl 66 to break the G5 cap for the first time! Back then I chose the "tanking method" as most people do but if you can get repose to stick x3 then you win by default :D

It's a light based sleep spell for whm which is equal to sleep II for a blm.
If you can get sleep to land on him about 2-3 times, you win without even being hit.

Congratulations on getting the record. I missed that until I watched in high res mode.
Do you think the Water or Neptune staff would be a good choice, as it has Divine +10?
Any suggestions on what to do or be prepared to do should a Repose fail?
