  • cool video i have a question why does the 2317 never run on the main line .i know the locomotive TENDER derailed in the delaware water gap but what does that have to do with the locomotive?

  • Thanks. and they're taking her out for inspection, which could take a while.

  • FRA inspection and tear down. Steamtown is putting her at the back of the list of locomotives, she will be looked at AFTER #26 and B&M #3713 get restored, from what I heard.

  • By tear down you mean scrapper?

  • Not scrap, poor choice of words on my part. I mean Steamtown has to take apart everything in the boiler to the bear minimal. The flues have to come out, I believe they have to check the stay bolts on the firebox and check for cracks on the boiler, firebox, crownsheet, etc.
