I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for making my life better with this music. These 2 minutes and 44 seconds make the world a better place.
Heyy now have some empathy for the boys who grew up with a dream Common Market! You had the dream or not? If its art or a vessel you use your music for then that's cool, but seriously now, if a man has a family to keep and some talent to perform then don't knock him for selling as much as possible regardless of what it takes! If you base this title on on every artist then you suck as artists!
Where can that artwork be found..it's fucking incredible and this hip hop is the real deal...I actually came across this guy on The Progressive's Website.
@AESchultz85 try searching eyedea&abilities, typical cats, blue scholars, and denizen kane's newest album brother mins journey to they west. these mcs are by far the best around, definitely on the same level as common market. oh and if you havent heard every last one of us by common market, it is one of the most inspiring songs ever produced
maybe if more people heard these mc's maybe we would have just alittle less hate n alittle bit more love. And now n days that wat we need more of is love!
Outkast is a great example of a group going big without selling out. They were doing their thing since the early 90's and kept doing what the felt was real until the world caught up to them. Speakerboxx/Love Below was a huge album but the didn't sell out. It was simply a lot of hard work and good music for over a decade finally paying off for Dre and Big Boi.
Going big is not the same as selling out. Selling out is changing what makes your music unique because it would "sell better". If they can do well for themselves and more ppl can hear their music then great, good for them for doing well and being successful. Artists want their music heard. Keep doin what you love Common Market, good soulful music
@griffwrc16 Thank you, so much, everybody I see equates success in music with superficiality. Do people have such a low opinion of people's tastes? That the populace can only ever be interested by the same bullshit that's been run through our ears for far too long? If some of my favorite underground artists suddenly went big, sure I'd be worried, but if they stayed true to themselves, then I'll love them just as much.

@dadrit - No, this is rap, which is a subcategory of the several arts that are hip hop. So it is both.

i dont think they will go big. why sell out?
topherspimpin 2 years ago 4
People who go big create music for the money not for the people
These guys stay underground because they don't want to sell out and become fakes like kanye and lil wayne and stuff
fame kills you my friend people don't make music from the heart now a days
