I assume now 28 months or so after this posting, how is the bosch router holding up to the work load? How much work have you done with it on aluminum, compared to softer material? Have you had to replace or repair the router at all?
@lilbrudder32 The Spindle is a Bosch Router motor 1618EVS . I think that something about 10% in aluminum . At the moment I don't need replace some repair or the entire router.
@lilbrudder32 I am running a Taig with a Bosch Colt Router spindle. I have three routers. One smoked after only about 300 hours. It smoked bad. The bearings failed and melted the case. The one on the machine currently has about 700 hours on it and is running fine. I have one on my work bench that has over 1000 hours and needs new bearings, but they still spin free, just starting to get sloppy. I may go with a slightly larger Porter Cable for slightly less $ to help with hard plunge cuts.
Very cool.. what are you using for a spindle? Seemed like a traditional wood router, but I'm not sure how well that would hold up against such lateral forces.

The spindle is a Bosch Router motor 1618EVS.
This CNC is gantry router that is a bit strong and allows me work with others material like aluminium , acrylic,copper, brass .
