In this album, Hetfield's voice is more thrash like than in any other. In the past albums, its not deep enough, and in the newer albums, his voice is good, but its not the same. Old Metallica will always be the best.

The best Mettallica album by far in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, the three records before it were all epic as well. As far as influencing my personal guitar style and where I was at in my life when released this album just ROCKED! The only thing I dislike is the fact that Jason's base rig is turned down way to low volume wise. It is almost like they were trying to make him unheard.

I read in a guitar magazine that the bass riffs match those of the rhythm guitar very close, and the reason behind this is it gives James sound a super heavy low end and more depth, but it sacrifices the individual bass sound. I dont know if there is any truth to that but man, you have to admit that that guitar sound on Justice is awesome! I have a huge respect for Cliff, but I also respect Jason as well.

@Metalmanmania357 the purpose was plan and simple, to cut out jason. the majority of it was up to lars. Cliff burton was the primary person that lead the direction of metallica in the early days. When cliff died, they tired to bring newsted in, he was the best they could find. Metallica didn't feel right without burton on the bass, so they decided to just lower him to the point where you can barely hear him. and justice for all was a mouring album for metallica to let go of cliff.
