i beat someone in chess in like 3 moves, i got my rook and put it right up beside the king, my openent tried to kill him, but he couldnt cause my queeen was behind the rook, then i won cause his peices were blocking him from escaping.

You did not mention that it is mandatory to get out of check, and you did not even mention checkmate, the object of the game!!!! Nor did you mention stalemate!! Nor did you mention the 50-move rule nor 3-fold repetition.
You did not specify that, in contrast to checkers, the capturing piece lands on the square of the captured piece.
You also did not specify that a pawn's right to move two squares forward on its first move does not extend to capturing. (cont'd)
