Are they Chinese water dragons? I have a bearded dragon and take her with me everywhere (she's my service animal), and aparently most people think that all lizards are "iguanas".
It is great to hear that you handle your reptilians with such care. Is it difficult to tame them to that extent? Have you ever had other species pose besides iguana's and chinese water dragons? Keep it up bro!
I dislike this for two reasons... One is that it feels like the lizards are being humanized by sitting like that on a little sofa.. whats next? Dress them up? And second.. what is the temperature like, and the humidity? Seing as it is green iguanas they need 25-30 degrees C. and need 70-90 in humidity, and lack of humidity can lead to kidney failure...
The only lizards I bring out to do this are the ones that happen to be truly calm and relaxed around people. People often assume that a lizard does not have the ability to become calm, they assume a wild animal such as a lizard can not experience calm and get used to people being around them. I resent the small estimations about lizards and liked to display the lizards in calm relaxed behavior, also to show they don't all act to bite and run in wild panic.
That is just sick. Out putting wild animals on display, that much be incredibly stressful for them. I don't see anything amazing or funny about this, just cruelty to animals.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard he cools the lizards down so he can "pose" them in the way he wants?
If you do this to the animals, you do not love the lizards. You love yourself and the attention you get first and foremost. Or you are just plain ignorant about what lizards really are.
As for your comment about the lizards being chilled in order to be still, not true. Just think about it, the lizards are sitting there outside on a nice sunny warm day, they were there for two hours or so, how could they being chilled, they are not sitting on ice, they are not in a cooling chamber. But I have heard this idea many times, it's just another false notion. These lizards live in a large room, no cage, they are free to bask in the sunshine every day. Nothing cruel here, be cool.
Hey Henry, You were kind enough to adopt my Iguana from me ( Hugo ) back in the mid 90s when I lived in Santa Monica!! I had to make a move to another state where I wasn't sure what I was getting into & wasn't sure I was going to be able to take care of Huge the way he deserved to be taken care of. I definitely made the right choice giving him to you. I was impressed with the way you cared for your reptiles in you home & enjoyed talking to you. Thanks again.....Larry
So do they just do this, or did you have to train them?

Reminds me of my bearded dragon. The vet says she is too fat and needs more excercise, but when I let her run around, she just wants to sit there.
