  • @SAPPHO Lol definitely don't want to cut back on potato salad.

  • I like a sweeter potato salad. This sounds wonderful, but I'd add a little sweet relish and some dill. >.>

  • I'm not really a fan of Big Yellow mustard. Would spicy brown or honey mustard work as well in this?

  • looks nice

  • 01:06 Tos The Salade, tehy do that in prison

  • Leafy greens are ideal sources of beta carotene and vitamins A and are rich in fiber.

  • Can I use half yogurt and half sour cream? or is that too much calories?

  • looks delicious im making it next weeek ♥

  • how come u never put any official recipes? everything is another version or the non official ones.

  • goood salad, & i think it good fresh not old

  • can u put 1 cup of yogurt or not?

  • Mmm... the next time I can get my large bag of potatoes for 99p, I'm gonna try this recipe before they all grow ears from sitting in the cupboard!

  • yogurt? o sour cream?

  • thats not onion, its spring onion

  • I has many names, the ones I know about are: spring onion, green onion, scallion, salad onion and new onion. happy now?

  • No because a scallion isn't a green onion.

  • yes it is

  • i prepare the same salad with raw yellow onions! it's a little bit strong but tastes good

  • no bacon bits?

  • The yogurt didn't turn out too well, so I made it again with fat free mayo. It seriously tasted as decadent as when using real mayo. The green onions are the key, however. Once again, Chef John has the winning formula!

  • yogurt? that seems kinda wierd lol, but i would try it tho :)

  • That is true. I've noticed salads are better when room temperature

  • He mentioned sour cream as well.

  • Michelle liked it both ways...

  • do you have any recipes for Green Onions in particular? I have some Italian Onions growin in my yard and want to put them to good use.

  • i tried this today:)..reallyy good

  • hahaha awesome

  • I'm gonna try this. Thanks Chef John.

  • Michelle likes it both ways, lucky you!

  • potato in potato salad? thats crazy!

  • Ah! You nearly stole my expression! I say 'bleurgh' all the time. I say that it uses subliminal messaging, as 'gruel' is spelt backwards in it. So, instead of saying that work was grueling, I say work was bleurghish. One geeky comment from one social deviant to another.

  • dai rakiata ya

  • wonderful!

  • I added a tiny bit of curry powder and it tastes really great.

  • Definitely.

  • I wish they'd come up with a low-fat mayonaisse that didn't taste or feel like industrial paste.

  • helamns

  • actually, theres a grocery store in arizona that sells this mayonaise alternative. its all natural, tastes real, and feels real. oh, and it has no cholesterol (i think thats how you spell it)

  • has anyone tried this yet? is it nice? not sure i think i prefer the fatty version lol, i guess you get used to it...

    looks good tho!

  • Michelle :/

  • OH man, I love my fat. NO way, am I doing it low fat style..

  • Hey John,

What do you think about replacing half of the yogurt with low fat sour cream? It probably wouldn't be quite as yogurty and it might make the dressing a little looser.

  • Good idea with the sour cream! I always use it in my potatoe salad.

  • Cough

  • Interesting substitution with the yogurt. I will try this recipe for my curiosity has been piqued. Thanks for posting this video.

  • my cousins made mashed potatoes

    they were lumpy

    we are chinese
